We’ve got a unique bed on the docket for this week—the fully customizable Morphiis mattress! While it arrives at your door with a medium firmness, it comes complete with a kit of adjustable foam inserts, which you can add until your comfort needs are totally satisfied.
But before I can figure out how all of these different components come together, I’ve got to unbox it and let it decompress on the frame!
Billed as having a total of 64 different firmness options, the all-foam Morphiis is meant to be a bed for everyone. It works like this: the bed arrives at your door with a hollowed out middle section of foam, which you then fill tetris-style with the adjustable inserts I mentioned above.
These inserts come in yellow (soft), blue (medium) and white (firm), allowing you to mix and match with different feels all throughout the structure. While this may sound intimidating, know that the Morphiis website does feature some standard patterns you can follow.
I’ll dig into all of this and more in my full review, but wanted to give you a sneak peek at its different layers.
Cover – Made up of a breathable fabric, the cover is thin to allow airflow throughout the mattress.
Comfort Layer – Built with the brand’s proprietary ULTRAFOAM, the comfort layer is super soft, providing the sleeper with some immediate comfort and relief.
Customizable Layer – Directly below the comfort layer, you’ll find the customizable section we discussed up top. Featuring a ring of edge support and a hollow middle, you can fill up this layer to your heart’s content with the provided foam inserts.
Base Layer – The base layer is comprised of high-density poly foam, functioning mainly to support the adjustable section above and give the bed its shape.
- Great for couples – With all the different firmness levels you can get from this mattress, I’m assuming it’ll be fantastic for couples, especially for those made up of sleepers with different preferences.
- Zoned support – The customization also allows you to create your own zoned support, whether you need firmness at the shoulders and softness at the hips or vice versa!
That’s all for now, stay on the lookout for my full review!
