The Haven LUX Rejuvenate,or the LUX Rejuvenate Springwall Chiropractic, is a Canadian mattress that comes in two different firmness options. In both its firm and soft versions, the mattress claims to use premium and proprietary materials to help with spinal alignment. Talalay latex, bamboo and Celliant are just a few of the ingredients in the mix here. Interested? I sure was when I heard.
But is this mattress up to par? This review will test both the Classic Firm and Classic + Softer Zoned models for their similarities and differences. I’ll get past all of the salesmanship and take a close look at how these mattresses perform under pressure (quite literally, for one test). Ready? Let’s go!

Who I recommend the Haven Rejuvenate mattress for
- Strict stomach sleepers will likely appreciate the Classic Firm model of the Haven, which gives plenty of support for the hips and lower part of the spine.
- The soft model of the Haven is great for strict side sleepers. The give on this side means great pressure relief in the shoulders and hips.
- A breathable cover means that both Haven models sleep cool.
Who I don’t recommend the Haven Rejuvenate mattress for
- Couples may need a mattress with a bit more edge support and motion isolation. Less room on the bed and more motion across the bed translates into an uncomfortable night if someone is a restless sleeper!
- Both models of the Haven lack bounce. Combo sleepers may feel stuck in the mattress when switching positions. Heavier sleepers may feel a bit sunken, especially on the softer version of the mattress.
How Firm is the Haven Rejuvenate Mattress?
Although individual body shape will play a role in how a bed feels, the feel of each Haven model is markedly different from the other. To test for different body types, I use different people. You are looking at the average score from all my testers.
I test for firmness first with a scale that ranges from 1 to 10. 10 is the firmest rating I can give a bed; 1 is the softest. 6.5 is the midpoint here in terms of an industry standard for medium firmness. The firm Haven got a composite score of 7.5 out of 10. The soft version came in at a 5.5 out of 10.
The firmer Haven gave me better spinal support on my back and stomach, where alignment between the hips and pelvis is vital. The softer Haven gave me the pressure relief I needed at my hips and shoulders when lying on my side. Because of the marked difference in the feel of each model, positional sleepers should have it easy when choosing between these two options. Strict back and stomach sleepers who need support in the hips should find it in the firm Haven, while side sleepers who need pressure relief in the shoulders may feel more comfortable on the softer Haven. I will talk about this more in the pain relief performance section below.

Haven Rejuvenate Mattress Performance
At Sleepopolis, we test each mattress for a number of different features that we know will be important for you. This includes testing edge support, pain and pressure relief performance, cooling, sex-ability, and more. Let’s get into it!
Testing the Haven Rejuvenate Mattress in Different Sleeping Positions
The world holds many types of sleepers of all shapes and sizes. Each of these people have their own preferences and sleeping positions, so will need different amounts of support. I’ve done my best to highlight how this mattress will perform for a variety of sleeping combinations down below.
Is the Haven Rejuvenate a Good Mattress for Light Sleepers (Under 130 lb)?
- Light Back Sleepers – Spinal support is crucial here, and I think the softer Haven model does the trick by aligning the hips and pelvis for smooth sailing throughout the night.
- Light Side Sleepers – I think that these sleepers will really achieve the proper beauty sleep on the Classic + Softer Zoned version of the Rejuvenate.
- Light Stomach Sleepers – For good spinal alignment, these sleepers should definitely stick to the Classic Firm model of the Rejuvenate.
Is the Haven Rejuvenate a Good Mattress for Average Weight Sleepers (130 – 250 lb)?
- Average Weight Back Sleepers – The firm model of the Haven should be an awesome choice for these sleepers, as it offers the right amount of support to pain areas and keeps the spine aligned.
- Average Weight Side Sleepers – Side sleepers, rejoice! The plush center of the softer Rejuvenate model will do wonders for pressure relief at your shoulders.
- Average Weight Stomach Sleepers – The firm model should also be a hit for these sleepers. This bed will keep the hips and lower back aligned.
Is the Haven Rejuvenate a Good Mattress for Heavy Sleepers (over 250 lb)?
- Heavy Back Sleepers – These sleepers will likely feel “stuck in” rather than “on top” on both models of the Haven Rejuvenate. For a more targeted approach, you can check out our best mattresses for heavy people.
- Heavy Side Sleepers – See above.
- Heavy Stomach Sleepers – See above.
Haven Rejuvenate Mattress Pain Relief Performance
A good way to measure how well a mattress relieves pain is to test it for pressure relief. Pressure relief is a measure of how evenly distributed your weight will be on a mattress. I test for pressure over time by spreading a color-coded pressure map on top of the Haven’s cover. The colors show how much pressure my body is exerting against the mattress. The map records how my body responds to the Haven in real time, so I get very accurate results.
The color codes: blue means no/low pressure, green and yellow means medium pressure, and red means high pressure. I tested for pressure relief on both mattresses.
Back Pain – The firmer version of the Haven should create a pleasant sleeping experience for back and stomach sleepers alike, with enough firmness to keep the hips and lumbar region aligned. This is a great way for these folks to alleviate back pain. On the other hand, my side sleepers will appreciate the softer Haven as it offers appropriate pressure relief and spinal alignment.
Shoulder Pain – I will continue to recommend the plusher model for side sleepers, as the shoulders would dig into the firmer model and create an uncomfortable misalignment. On the other hand, the soft model should offer great pressure relief in the shoulder area for side sleepers. And again with back and stomach sleepers, support to hips and shoulders is very necessary for alignment, so these sleepers should stick to the firm model.
Hip Pain – Side sleepers’ hips will receive the necessary pressure relief on the soft model. To avoid sinking and messing with spinal alignment, I’d recommend the firm side, yet again, to back and stomach sleepers with hip pain.
Haven Rejuvenate Mattress Performance for Couples
There’s a large group of people out there with unique sleep needs and ongoing mattress complaints. These people are called couples, and Sleepopolis is here to give them the comprehensive and honest truth! Features like sex, edge support, motion transfer, and cooling all play a role in a coupled sleeping experience. Calling all my duos, let’s dive in!
Motion Transfer
Motion transfer is a measure of how much movement travels from one side of the bed to the other. I use a 10-pound ball for my motion transfer test and drop it from heights of 4 inches, 8 inches, and 12 inches. A seismometer across the bed measures the ball’s movement. Motion transfer is a great test for couples to pay attention to, as the seismometer represents what one partner might feel when the other (the ball) shifts around at night.
The Haven Foam transferred quite a bit of motion across the mattress, which is disappointing for a foam mattress. That’s bad news for couples, especially couples with a restless sleeper in the mix. High rates of motion transfer means that you’re both getting up every time someone goes to the Little Foam Room.
Sex
When it comes to sex, it’s important for couples to have a mattress with bounce and mobility. I actually found both Rejuvenate mattress models to have very little bounce. A lack of bounce will make it more difficult to move around on top of the bed with ease. With that being said, I don’t think this would be the best option for sex.
Cooling
Some solo sleepers sleep hot, but the concerns are doubled when it comes to couples. Luckily, I found that the Rejuvenate has a cooling cover and comfort layer! Its bamboo and Celliant cover provides temperature regulation, while its copper-infused comfort layer creates airflow throughout the mattress and wards off body heat.
Edge Support
Edge support is important for couples because it determines how much available space you can actually utilize on your mattress. This is especially a concern for couples with a partner who sleeps right on the edge, or rolls frequently across the bed. Unfortunately, this mattress had poor edge support, making it a not-so-great choice for couples.
What is the Haven Rejuvenate Mattress Made Of?
The Haven Rejuvenate is an all-foam mattress built with layers of latex, memory foam, and poly foam. It also employs an all-natural cover of bamboo and Celliant. The company holds CertiPUR certification, which speaks to the low level of chemicals in this bed’s materials. I’ll take apart the Haven’s layers one by one below.
Cover – At first touch, the bamboo and Celliant blend gives the Haven a breathable top layer that helps the mattress sleep cool. Some research has also shown that Celliant could be useful for recovery in many ways, such as improving blood flow and helping to regulate body temperature.
Comfort Layer – Right after the cooling cover, the Haven has a 1-inch layer of latex foam to help dissipate heat. Haven also aerates this layer and adds a copper infusion to help you get a cool sleep. This layer also provides a good amount of durability and support.
Contour Layer – After the comfort layer, cooling gel memory foam allows the sleeper to sink deeper into the mattress without feeling overheated. (Haven calls this proprietary memory foam blend bio-visco slow sink foam.) Memory foam is known for its contouring feeling and pressure relief, and the gel infusion keeps it from getting too hot.
Transition Layer – This layer creates the difference between the soft and firm models of the Haven. Both models contain 3-inch layers of open cell bio foam. The firm model has a consistent feel, while the soft model has a bit more give in the middle of the mattress. The softer model’s zoned transition layer provides pressure relief in the shoulder area, which is a sensitive point for many side sleepers.
Base Layer – 5 inches of HD poly foam give both versions of the Haven support and shape. This layer keeps sleepers on both versions from sinking too far into the mattress.
Haven Rejuvenate Mattress Unboxing and Off-Gassing
All Haven bed-in-a-box mattresses are made-to-order and make it to your door through FedEx and Canada Post. It’s important to note that these delivery workers will be unable to enter your home to help with set-up, so we recommend asking a friend or family member to help with larger boxes, as they may be difficult to pick up and move by yourself.
When your new bed arrives, you’ll find a simple instruction insert to help you with the set-up process. Upon unboxing, your new mattress may emit a slight smell due to the compression and plastic wrapping, but Haven’s products are hypo-allergenic and have a low scent overall. Any smells you find will dissipate quickly.
My Final Thoughts about the Haven Rejuvenate Mattress
Before you decide whether or not the Rejuvenate could be your “safe haven”, let’s take a look at some of my favorite and least favorite aspects of this mattress.
My favorite things about the Haven Rejuvenate mattress
My favorite thing about this mattress is its two different support options. If you’re a side sleeper looking for a soft mattress to give relief to the hips and shoulders, you use the soft model, and if you’re a back or stomach sleeper looking for firm support, you can use the firm model. It’s a win-win! I also really appreciated the breathable properties of this bed’s cool-to-touch cover and the heat-dissipating comfort layer. Hot sleepers will really appreciate these features.
My Haven Rejuvenate mattress complaints
And now for my complaints. I was disappointed in this bed’s performance for couples. Motion transfer was overpowering and will likely provide a restless sleeper with the ammunition to wake up their partner. But, this bed’s bounce is almost nonexistent. This will not only cause trouble for combination sleepers switching sides, but for ease of motion during sex.
