With no middleman and everything made and shipped directly from its Arizona factory, Brooklyn Bedding promises superior craftsmanship, so Iโm here to put that claim to the test.
Our team has thoroughly tested a previous version of the Signature Hybrid, and we recently got our hands on the updated model to see how it stacks up. The Signature Hybrid is available in three comfort levels (soft, medium, and firm) and promises top-of-the-line cooling and support.
In this review, Iโm going to peel back the layers (literally) of the Medium version and see if it lives up to the hype. Hint: Couples, back sleepers, and side sleepers looking for a simple-but-sweet mattress that checks all the boxes should stick around.
Weโve been testing mattresses like the Signature Hybrid since 2014 and have helped over 145,000 people (and 27,000 in 2024 and 2025 alone) find a new mattress. Our rigorous review methodology helps us provide accurate recommendations. In total, our expert testers and certified sleep science coaches have tested over 500 beds in our studio to help sleepers find the best mattress for their sleep needs, body types, and comfort preferences.
When developing our methodology, we also work closely with a network of medical professionals to punch up our advice. Our chief medical advisor, Dr. Raj Dasgupta, MD, FACP, FCCP, FAASM, helped ensure accuracy and eliminate bias throughout our testing process.
Read on to see how the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid performed in categories such as motion isolation, responsiveness, and more.
Our Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Review, Summarized
The Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid is a no-frills hybrid model ideal for those seeking quality sleep at an affordable price. Itโs available in three different firmness options, including the Medium model, which we tested in our studio. We found that this mattress has a pressure-relieving, medium-firm feel that really brings the support back and side sleepers need. It also performed amazingly in our motion isolation and responsiveness tests, which are areas that should appeal to couples. While it didnโt score as high in edge support and cooling, I would still call it a well-rounded bed.
The Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid mattress combines a foam comfort layer and sturdy coils. This combination of materials makes it bouncy and easy to move around on. It comes in three firmness levels, and we recommend the Medium model for most back sleepers. Itโs a great choice for shoppers who are looking for a new mattress on a budget. What our tester says:
โBack sleepers who like an โon topโ feel to their bed should also be able to sleep comfortably on the Signature Hybrid. And thanks to its robust edge support, I recommend it to folks with mobility concerns. These individuals should get enough support from the innerspring coils to bear down on the perimeter of the mattress and get up in the morning.โ โ Kenny Timper, staff writer and certified sleep science coach
Our Review Process
At Sleepopolis, our team of certified sleep science coaches personally test each mattress. We start by unboxing the mattress to figure out how difficult (or easy) it is to get the mattress from the box to the bed. Then, we spend time lying on the bed in different positions, taking time to assess it on our back, stomach, and side.
Next, we perform our Sleepopolis tests, using specialized tools to measure qualities like motion transfer, bounce, and pressure relief. Our last step is to open up the mattress and take a look at each layer. These steps allow us to give our final verdict on each mattress.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Mattress Overview

Brooklyn Bedding is an online mattress company that was founded in 1999. The Arizona-based company hit its stride around 2008 when it began selling its first bed-in-a-box mattress. Since then, Brooklyn Bedding has grown into one of the most popular brands currently on the market, with a product line that includes mattresses, pillows, sheets, and foundations. The brand is known for its high-quality yet affordable products, a sentiment I think applies fully to the Signature Hybrid.
The Signature Hybrid features layers of both foam and coils in its construction for a balanced and versatile feel. This mattress also comes in three different firmness levels (Soft, Medium, and Firm) to suit various sleep styles and preferences. Brooklyn Bedding recently updated the Signature Hybrid model, and our testers found that the revamped version of this mattress performed better in pressure relief, responsiveness, and motion isolation. That said, its perimeter support and cooling may have lost a little edge.
Who I Recommend the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid For
- Back sleepers should appreciate the consistent support and pressure relief that the medium-firm Signature Hybrid delivers.
- Side sleepers will appreciate the gentle contouring provided by the pillow top cover.
- The Signature Hybrid earned a near-perfect motion isolation score during testing, making it a huge win for couples and those who are normally disturbed by a restless pet.

Who I Donโt Recommend the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid For
- Despite its cool-to-the-touch cover and ventilated innerspring coils, the Signature Hybrid retained more heat than we expected. Hot sleepers may want to look elsewhere.
- Our testers noticed a few inches of sinkage when sitting on the edge of this mattress. Sleepers with mobility concerns who need a sturdy perimeter to bear down on in the morning will likely fare better on a more supportive model.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Value
To determine if it was worth the price of admission, we assessed the quality of the Signature Hybridโs materials and performance across numerous categories, including edge support and customer experience.
At $1,465 for a queen-sized mattress, I believe the upgraded Signature Hybrid is priced fairly, despite the price increase. The latest version of the Signature Hybrid surpasses its predecessor in multiple testing categories, including pressure relief, motion isolation, and responsiveness.
Fortunately, you can often find the Signature Hybrid on sale for less than $1,100 (without the additional pillow-top upgrade).
What Is the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Made Of?

The 13.25-inch Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid contains layers of comfortable memory foam and durable pocketed coils. This combination of bouncy foam materials and coils creates a responsive and pressure-relieving sleep surface. Learn more about each of its layers below.
Cover โ The soft GlacioTex Cooling Cover has a crisp, cool-to-the-touch feel that should provide some immediate relief for hot sleepers. You can also choose to upgrade to a pillow top for extra pressure relief.
Comfort Layer โ The comfort layers of the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid consist of 3.5 inches of memory foam. The first layer consists of 1.5 inches of quilted foam, which provides moisture-wicking breathability. Next is a 1-inch layer of cooling gel-infused memory foam to help regulate temperature. Finally, a 1-inch layer of responsive memory foam helps make the surface easier to move around on.
Transition Layer โ Up next, youโll find a layer of VariFlex Transition foam. This firmer section helps ease the sleeper onto the pocketed coil support system below and adds some additional compression support.
Support Layer โ This bedโs durability and shape comes from its 8-inch Ascension coil system. These coils bring some fantastic bounce to the structure and encourage a ton of breathability, which could help with temperature regulation.
Stabilizing Layer โ Rounding out the mattress is a layer of high-density foam. This support foam is there to give the coils something to bounce off.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Mattress Firmness
Now that you know about the nuts and bolts of the Signature Hybrid, letโs talk about how it feels. I typically start with firmness because it significantly impacts how a mattress will feel to someone.
โA mattress that is too firm or soft for your sleeping position will likely lead to pressure points and chronic pain,โ explains Dr. Dasgupta. โItโs important to buy a mattress that has the firmness you find most comfortable based on your sleeping position, weight, and lifestyle.โ

To get a better idea of how firm the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid is, mattress testers of different body weights and preferred sleeping positions lay on the mattress. Together, they decided on a firmness rating of 6.5 out of 10, or medium-firm.
โIt has that balanced feel that lands right in the medium-firm range,โ said mattress tester Riley Otis. โMy body felt evenly supported from head to toe, and my spine stayed in a nice, neutral position. I also noticed some solid contouring through my lower back, which helped fill in that space and keep everything properly supported.โ
Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Mattress Performance
Although the feel of a bed is typically subjective and varies between different people, we always run rigorous tests on our mattresses to offer a more objective view of the mattress.
During testing, we evaluate motion transfer, cooling, pressure relief, and other factors. These tests help us determine which types of sleepers a mattress will work best for. Read on to see how the Signature Hybrid fared on some of these evaluations.
Pressure Relief
My fellow mattress testers and I assess pressure relief to determine how well a bed relieves pain and eases tension at pressure points, including the hips, shoulders, and back. Sleepers with aches and pains in these areas need a mattress that effectively relieves pressure.
As Dr. Dasgupta explains, โIf your mattress doesnโt offer enough pressure relief, has low-quality materials, or isnโt the right firmness level, it can lead to poor spinal alignment, increased pain, and disrupted sleep.โ
We test pressure relief using a specialized mat that we roll onto the mattress surface and then lie on in the side and back-sleeping positions. This mat uses thermal imaging to identify areas of pressure buildup in the body and translates those results into an easy-to-read graphic. This graphic displays low-pressure areas as blue and green. Meanwhile, areas of pressure buildup appear yellow and red.
Sleepers in all three weight categories typically experience pressure relief in different ways. For example, what might feel soft to sleepers with bigger bodies will likely feel a lot firmer to lightweight sleepers.
We invited multiple mattress testers into the studio to test pressure relief on the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid. After combining the overall pressure relief scores for back and side sleeping, we found a near-perfect average score of 4.8 out of 5.

According to our in-house testing team, side and back sleepers alike should find optimal relief on the new version of the Signature Hybrid. The contouring memory foam layers did a fantastic job of easing tension in pressure-prone areas, including the shoulders, hips, and lower back.

โI think this mattress works really well for side and back sleeping,โ Riley said. โThereโs enough cushioning to gently cradle the hips and shoulders without feeling overly soft. It has a nice balance of comfort and support, with a slightly plush surface and a firmer feel underneath that keeps everything in check. The pillow top helps ease pressure at the joints, but I never felt like I was sinking too deeply. The coils underneath do a great job of lifting the body, and my hips and shoulders stayed nicely aligned.โ
Motion Isolation
Motion transfer measures how much movement travels from one side of the mattress to the other. Effective motion isolation, or low motion transfer, is especially crucial for anyone who shares a bed with a partner or pet. Our mattress testers evaluated the motion isolation of the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid using two tests: the ripple test and the partner test.
For the ripple test, one of our mattress testers gets on the bed next to a bin full of water and rolls around to see how much the liquid sloshes. For the partner test, two mattress testers lie next to each other. One wears a blindfold while the other moves around. The blindfolded tester raises their thumb whenever they can feel movement.
Ripple test: During this test, Riley barely noticed the water move when getting in and out of bed. Throughout the test, she noticed very minimal movements in the container, even when tossing and turning on the bed.

โEven as I moved around and changed positions, the movement stayed minimal; just a slight, slow sway rather than any noticeable sloshing,โ Riley said. โCompared to other mattresses Iโve tested, the disturbance here was very controlled.โ
Partner test: Riley was equally impressed by the performance during the partner test. According to her, even though the mattress has a good amount of bounce, it still does a nice job of dampening movement when weight is applied.

โI could pick up on a little bit of motion, but it was so minor that I donโt think it would be disruptive during the night,โ Riley said.
Responsiveness
Assessing a mattressโs responsiveness and ease of movement helps us understand how fast it regains its shape after adding weight and pressure. Hybrid and innerspring mattresses typically bounce back quickly, while memory foam mattresses take longer to return to their original form.
Responsiveness is especially important for combination sleepers or those who shift throughout the night, as it simplifies moving between different positions.
Overall, Riley and her fellow mattress testers gave the Signature Hybrid a 4 out of 5 in this category, meaning itโs above average. She averaged her results from the following three tests to get this number.
Switch test: For the switch test, we lie on the mattress and observe how challenging it is to switch between positions. During this test, Riley found that it was easy to move around on the surface of the mattress, even with some slight resistance from its doughy pillow top.

โThis bed has a lively, springy feel,โ Riley said. โThe bounce from its pocketed coils helped me switch positions, giving a bit of lift as I moved around. It wasnโt completely effortless since I still had to press through the pillow top slightly, but I never felt stuck or like I had to use much effort to reposition.โ
Sinkage test: For this test, our testers place a 53-pound kettlebell onto the mattress and use a ruler to measure how many inches it sinks in.
Riley and the rest of the team measured 4 inches of sinkage on the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid, which is higher than the 3.7-inch average, placing it in the deep sinkage category. To clarify, light sinkage is up to 2.5 inches, moderate sinkage ranges from 2.6 to 4 inches, and deep sinkage is 4.1 inches and up.

Generally, if a mattress sinks in more, it indicates that its surface is trickier to maneuver on. Fortunately, that was not the case with the Signature Hybrid. That said, sleepers with bigger bodies might find that they sink more into its pillow top layer.
Bounce test: Finally, the bounce test helps us measure how springy a mattress is. For this test, Riley and the team climbed a ladder 6 feet above the mattress and dropped a 25-pound steel ball onto it. A yardstick on the wall allowed me to see how high the ball bounced. For context, low bounce refers to anything under 8 inches, moderate bounce ranges from 8 to 12 inches, and high bounce refers to anything over 12 inches.

The ball bounced 31 inches on this mattress, which is much higher than the overall average of 15.8 inches, and places the Signature Hybrid in the high bounce category. So while the mattress has a plush top layer, it should still provide sleepers with more than enough responsiveness to remain nimble at night.
Cooling
When it comes to cooling, we usually consider a mattressโs construction first. As a hybrid mattress, the Signature Hybrid includes coils that encourage airflow and breathability. The GlacioTex cover layer also provided an immediate cool-to-the-touch sensation that our testers appreciated.
During testing, however, Riley found that its top layer retained more heat than other mattresses in the hybrid category. Still, it earned a solid score of 3.5 out of 5, placing it above other options with memory foam layers.
Thermal Gun test: In her first cooling test, Riley used a thermal gun to record the mattressโs temperature before lying on it. Next, she lay on the surface for 5 minutes before taking another reading. If the temperature increases by fewer than 5 degrees, we consider it excellent cooling. An increase of 5 to 10 degrees indicates good cooling, 10 to 15 degrees indicates decent cooling, and more than 15 degrees indicates poor cooling.

Riley recorded an 8.6-degree increase on the Signature Hybrid, indicating it has good temperature regulation. Based on these results, we think this mattress should perform well for most hot sleepers. That said, couples who sleep extremely hot together might prefer one of our best cooling mattresses instead.
Feel test: During the thermal gun test, Riley also noted her body temperature and whether she could feel the Signature Hybrid mattress warming up.
โThis mattress has a noticeable cool touch right away,โ she said. โAfter a bit, the surface warms slightly, but it never crosses into feeling hot or uncomfortable.โ
Cover test: For this test, Riley touched the surface of the mattress and observed whether it felt cool to the touch when pressing into it with her hands.
โThe cover feels smooth and sleek, and the cooling effect comes through clearly, even with a layer of clothing on,โ Riley said.
Edge Support
Our team evaluates edge support to determine how sturdy a bedโs perimeter is. Better edge support lets you lie and sit on the edges and corners of your mattress without its layers collapsing too much beneath you. Edge support is crucial for couples, people with larger bodies, or those who use the entire bed surface. It can also be an indicator of durability, as a mattress with sturdy sides is less prone to sagging over time.
We gave the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid a 3.4 out of 5 overall in this category. The Signature Hybrid should provide solid edge support for most; however, those with mobility concerns may find it less stable than they would like.
Tape Measure test: The tape measure test involves stacking weights on top of each other directly on the edge of the bed and measuring the sinkage of the edge beneath them. Riley and the rest of the team repeated this process three times using three weight stacks, each representing a weight category โ a 99-pound stack for lightweight sleepers, a 154-pound stack for average-weight sleepers, and a 198-pound stack for heavyweight sleepers.

Next, she used a tape measure to measure the sinkage. This test simulates how much the perimeter of a mattress might sink when sleepers in various weight categories sit or lie on the edge.
We found that the results ranged from 4.8 inches for the lightest stack (representing lighter sleepers) to 5.5 inches for the average-weight stack and up to 6.3 inches for the heaviest stack. All in all, these are decent results. However, heavier sleepers may notice a bit more sinkage and feel less supported along the perimeter of the bed.
Seated test: For this test, Riley and her fellow mattress testers sat on the side of the mattress and stood up several times to see how easy it was to get in and out of bed.

โThe responsiveness of the mattress really stands out here,โ Riley said. โIt really gives you a bit of a boost when getting up, almost like itโs helping you back onto your feet. That said, thereโs still some noticeable give in the top layers, and I sank a couple of inches before hitting that support. Because of that initial compression, it doesnโt feel quite perfect, but itโs still a strong showing overall.โ
Full body test: This test is almost identical to the seated test, except that instead of sitting, we lie directly on the edge of the bed in different sleeping positions.

โI felt comfortable sleeping close to the edge and never had the sense that I might roll off,โ Riley said. โThere was a slight tilt toward the side at first, but it was very minimal and went away as soon as I moved an inch or two inward. Overall, I still felt very stable and supported in every sleeping position.โ
Mattress Performance for Couples
Based on everything our testers saw from this bed, I think the Signature Hybrid will please many couples, especially those who are easily disturbed by movement. Thanks to its superior motion isolation, couples will not have to worry about waking each other up at night when getting up to go to the bathroom.
However, I would not recommend this mattress to couples who enjoy sprawling out to the far reaches of the bed, as its edges arenโt quite as sturdy as other hybrid models.
Other Performance Factors to Consider
Riley and the team covered a lot of ground on testing day, but there are still a few things you should consider before you trade in your old mattress for the new Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid.
Sex
To calculate the score for this category, we averaged the edge support, cooling, and responsiveness scores of the Signature Hybrid to land on a sex score of 3.6 out of 5. Overall, the Signature Hybrid is highly responsive and easy to maneuver on, making it a solid choice for sexually active couples.
That said, its cooling and edge support scores were about average, meaning it may not be the best option for couples who tend to overheat during extended periods of activity or frequently use the full surface of the bed.
Noise
If youโre sensitive to noise, the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid is a frontrunner in this category. Riley couldnโt hear a peep out of it while moving around on it for our tests, even though the bed contains coils.
Base Compatibility
According to Riley, the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid worked well for our adjustable base in the studio.

โThis performed well on the adjustable base,โ she said. โIt was able to bend into the zero-gravity position without much issue, though I did notice the pillow top bunching slightly toward the center. There was also a small gap underneath, but it was minimal and didnโt seem like it would cause any real problems.โ
Durability
To assess a bedโs durability, our testers consider the edge support and warranty of the model. Edge support is a durability indicator because strong support systems can prevent premature sagging, ensuring the mattress holds its shape. Meanwhile, the mattressโs warranty can provide further insight into how long the company expects the mattress to last.
Based on the companyโs generous limited lifetime warranty and Rileyโs assessment of the Signature Hybrid, I believe this mattress should last 10 years or more of everyday use.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Sleeping Position and Body Weight
Body weight plays a significant role in how a mattress feels. As Dr. Shelby Harris, one of our medical advisors, explains, โPeople with less body weight will likely find that a mattress is firmer than those who are heavier.โ
Typically, lighter individuals perceive mattresses as firmer than those of average or heavier weight. To provide accurate recommendations, our team includes mattress testers from all three weight categories: lightweight, average-weight, and heavyweight. Testers from each group assess every mattress in three different sleeping positions. This method ensures we offer personalized recommendations based on body weight and sleeping preferences.
Before we dive into our recommendations, though, we want to recognize that people come in all shapes and sizes, and people of every size deserve a mattress that works for their body type. We use the weight categories light, average, and heavy to more easily categorize sleepers based on how mattresses will perform for their body type, as most mattresses are designed for the group we call โaverageโ (130 to 230 pounds).
As a general takeaway, lighter sleepers donโt require as much support as average-weight sleepers, and mattresses will tend to feel firmer to them. On the other hand, heavy sleepers tend to need more support than average-weight sleepers and sink into the mattress more. As far as sleeping positions go, side sleepers likely need a softer mattress while stomach sleepers usually need a firmer, more supportive one. Back sleepers are usually somewhere in the middle.
Is the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid a Good Mattress for Light Sleepers (Under 130 pounds)?
- Light Back Sleepers โ I think the medium-firm feel of the Signature Hybrid could work quite well for light back sleepers who prefer to sleep on a firmer mattress.
- Light Side Sleepers โ Side sleepers in this weight category might need a mattress that offers more pressure relief, especially if they have sensitive joints. If youโre looking for more of a plush feel, Iโd recommend opting for the Soft model of the Signature Hybrid, or check out our roundup of the best soft mattresses instead.
- Light Stomach Sleepers โ Lightweight stomach sleepers who prefer a firmer bed should feel comfortable on the Signature Hybrid. It should provide enough support to keep their hips lifted up in line with their shoulders, promoting a healthy spinal alignment.
Is the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid a Good Mattress for Average-Weight Sleepers (130โ230 pounds)?
- Average-Weight Back Sleepers โ These sleepers should feel comfortable and supported on the Signature Hybrid, thanks to its coil support system and cushioning pillow top.
- Average-Weight Side Sleepers โ Like lightweight side sleepers, average-weight side sleepers should also rest comfortably on this mattress, especially if theyโre wanting more of a balanced feel.
- Average-Weight Stomach Sleepers โ The firm lift that the Signature Hybrid provides should keep these sleepersโ spines in a fairly healthy alignment, but some may find that their hips may sink too far into this bedโs foam layers. To combat this, Iโd recommend opting for the Firm model of this mattress.
Is the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid a Good Mattress for Heavy Sleepers (over 230 pounds)?
- Heavy Back Sleepers โ These sleepers should receive a strong balance of support and pressure relief on the Signature Hybrid, as this mattress should feel softer to them than it does to lighter sleepers.
- Heavy Side Sleepers โ Heavy side sleepers could also like the Signature Hybrid, as they should receive a little bit more sinkage around their shoulders and hips than other sleepers.
- Heavy Stomach Sleepers โ The Medium version of this mattress is not supportive enough for heavy stomach sleepers. Iโd recommend they check out the Firm model instead.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid vs. Similar Beds
Before going all in on the Signature Hybrid, you might still want to know how it compares to other mattresses currently on the market. Hereโs how the Signature Hybrid stacks up against a couple of similar mattresses from competing brands below.
Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid vs DreamCloud Premier
Both the Signature Hybrid and the DreamCloud Premier are hybrid mattresses, so their constructions include layers of foam and coils. The DreamCloud Premier did come in slightly softer on our firmness level scale at a 6 out of 10, while we rated the Signature Hybrid a 6.5 on this same scale.
- Price: Before discounts, the DreamCloud Premier is significantly more expensive than the Signature Hybrid at nearly $2,500. Before discounts, a queen-sized Signature Hybrid from Brooklyn Bedding costs $1,465.
- Sleeping position: Both the Signature Hybrid and the DreamCloud Premier are going to work best for back sleepers and side sleepers. As the firmer bed, the Signature Hybrid will likely be the better pick for stomach sleepers.
- Cooling: While both of these mattresses include breathable coils in their construction, the DreamCloud Premier outperformed the Signature Hybrid in this category. Extremely hot sleepers are probably going to fare better on the DreamCloud.
- Body weight: The Signature Hybrid will be better for back and side sleepers with bigger bodies, as it wonโt let them sink too far into the bedโs surface. However, neither one of these mattresses is going to be firm enough for stomach sleepers in this category.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid vs Helix Midnight
The Signature Hybrid and the Helix Midnight are both hybrid mattresses, meaning they include layers of foam and coils in their construction. However, the Helix Midnight has an edge over the Brooklyn Bedding in cooling and edge support, while the Signature Hybrid outperforms the Helix in pressure relief.
- Price: The Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid is a little more expensive than the Helix Midnight before any discounts. The queen-sized version of the Helix costs $1,373 at full-price.
- Sleeping position: Both mattresses are excellent options for pressure relief across the board. However, the Signature Hybrid outperformed the Midnight on our tests, especially for back sleeping pressure relief, where it earned a perfect 5-star score.
- Cooling: The Helix Midnight and the Signature Hybrid both include coils in their constructions, adding some breathability and airflow to these beds during the night. However, the Midnight performed better on our cooling tests.
- Body weight: Neither model is supportive enough for heavy sleepers (those over 230 pounds) who sleep on their back and stomach. However, the Firm version of the Signature Hybrid might work better for side and back sleepers in this category.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid vs. Other Brooklyn Bedding Models
So, weโve seen how the Signature Hybrid fares against other popular mattress brands, but how does it hold up against other Brooklyn Bedding mattresses? Find out below.
Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid vs Titan Plus Core
The Titan Plus Core was specifically designed to work well for sleepers over 250 pounds, providing a combination of deep compression and durability. This means that the Titan Plus is firmer than the Signature Hybrid, making it a good choice for stomach sleepers and back sleepers who prefer a firmer feel.
- Price: A queen-sized Signature Hybrid is more expensive, coming in at around $1,465. A queen-sized Titan Plus Core is $1,349.
- Sleeping position: The Titan Plus scored a 7.5 on our firmness scale, while the Signature Hybrid scored a 6.5 on the same scale. With these scores, the Titan Plus is most likely going to be the better option for stomach sleepers, and the Signature Hybrid is going to be the better choice for back and side sleepers.
- Cooling: Both mattresses should sleep fairly cool thanks to the springs used in their constructions. If you tend to overheat during the night, or if you sleep with a partner, I would recommend opting for the Titan Plus Core with the additional cooling cover option.
- Body weight: The Titan was specifically designed with heavier sleepers in mind, so itโs probably going to be the better pick for these customers. While the Signature Hybrid could work for some heavy back and side sleepers, the Titan Plus works for heavy sleepers in all positions. That said, the Signature Hybrid will be a better option for most light and average-weight sleepers.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid vs. CopperFlex Memory Foam
The Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Memory Foam is an all-foam bed. We tested the Medium and rated it 7.5 out of 10, meaning itโs a bit firmer than the Signature Hybrid.
- Price: The Signature Hybrid is the more expensive bed, with a price of $1,465 for a queen mattress. Meanwhile, the CopperFlex starts at just $699 before any discounts.
- Sleeping position: The CopperFlex memory foam is the better pick for stomach sleeping, but itโs probably too firm for strict side sleepers. Back sleepers should fare well on either mattress.
- Cooling: Both beds performed about the same on our cooling tests. However, hot sleepers will likely feel better on the Signature Hybrid thanks to its cool-to-the-touch cover layer.
- Body weight: Heavy back sleepers can enjoy either mattress. Heavy side sleepers are better suited to the Signature Hybrid, while the CopperFlex is better for heavy stomach sleepers.
