Disclosures

The mission of Sleepopolis is simple: we want to help you discover, research, and select the mattress and sleep products that meets your needs, desires, and budget. We are constantly updating reviews, doing new tests, and exploring new products to ensure our recommendations are always as accurate and helpful as possible.

We take your sleep very seriously – so every review is as thorough as we can make it.  If you ever want more information on a product, please leave a comment and we will definitely get back to you with our thoughts!

Running Sleepopolis is not cheap. From web servers and mattress storage space to salaries, photography, video, audio, lighting, and other production equipment and software, there are many expenses to running this blog.  To make money we have a number of relationships with sleep product companies, and this page well tell you all so that you are informed with all of the information before you purchase.

Sleepopolis uses referral links. These referral links don’t cost you a cent, but if you make a purchase from one of the companies that Sleepopolis uses referral links for, these links tell those companies that you came from Sleepopolis and lets us earn a commission from the sale.

Sleepopolis uses referral links for virtually all mattresses and products you find on Sleepopolis.

We feel fortunate in that we have an affiliate relationship (either direct or though places like Amazon) with nearly every company whose products are reviewed on Sleepopolis – which helps us maintain our own personal integrity and reduce financial bias on Sleepopolis. Being able to deliver an honest, clear, and straightforward review is our most important guiding principle.  That being said, we want to make readers aware of the incentives at play so that they have all information possible when evaluating sleep products.

Many mattress and sleep product companies send us their mattresses for free with the hope that we will like it and review it. However, there are no guarantees for these companies that we will write about the products at all, and certainly no guarantees that we will review it favorably.

Ultimately, Sleepopolis is supported by our readers from simply telling your friends and family, sharing on Facebook or other social media sites and sending in your mattress experiences and feedback.  Sleepopolis survives because of readers and fans like yourself. For that, we would like to sincerely say thank you. We truly do love being able to run Sleepopolis and help our readers get a better night’s sleep. Thank you for trusting us, and thank you for allowing us to serve you here on Sleepopolis.

If you have a comment or question about how Sleepopolis works, please drop us an email using my contact form. We are more than happy to help answer your questions.

How to Support Sleepopolis

  1. Word of mouth – Tell your friends and family about Sleepopolis. Word of mouth is the best way we can grow.
  2. Social sharing – Share Sleepopolis on Twitter, Facebook, and other social media sites.
  3. Add a link – Do you have a blog or website? Consider adding a link to Sleepopolis.

The links below, like those to the same companies appearing elsewhere on the site, are referral links. This is a list of companies that we work with where we receive compensation if you click through the link and purchase on their site (with no additional cost to you).

Referral Links and Products I Received for Free

Most mattresses and other products reviewed on Sleepopolis were sent to us for free by the manufacturer. As mentioned above, many companies will send us their mattress or other products with the hope that we will like them and write a review about them. However, there are no guarantees for these companies that we will write about their products at all and certainly no guarantees that we will review them favorably. I only ever commit to completing a test of their product.

The following list includes all companies who have been reviewed and sent free products to Sleepopolis. Please note the list is extensive, so in nearly all cases you should assume we were provided a product for free. Please send any clarifying questions through our contact page. Please note – the list below does not include giveaways on Sleepopolis (when running) have products provided by companies for free.
