Wayfair Sold Mattresses Infested With Bedbugs For 2 Years, Lawsuit Claims

Posted April 8th, 2019. This lawsuit claims that major retailer Wayfair sold mattresses that were “infested and crawling” with bedbugs. It also goes on to mention that while Wayfair was aware of the situation, they did nothing to correct it, but rather continue to sell these infested mattresses to consumers. Consumers in the report mention having itchy bumps and having to throw away household and bedroom items, not to mention the fear they have that there could be more. Overstock’s Hypoallergenic Mattress Contains Fiberglass, Lawsuit Claims

Filed February 19th, 2021.  A lawsuit against overstock.com claims that their supposed luxury line of mattresses contained dangerous fiberglass that leaked into the bedroom. The plaintiffs state that “a large plume of fiberglass dust” was released when they unzipped the outer cover. Many plaintiffs also report the fiberglass reaching the HVAC unit, which can cause damage throughout the entire home. For more information and the full report, click here.

How it Works

1. The Consumer Product Safety Commission ensures all products meet a set of established standards. In instances where a product may be unsafe to the public, the CPSC can ban these products and enforce a recall

2. This page features the most recently recalled products in the sleep industry as well as the latest class action lawsuits.

In Summary

Products can be recalled for many reasons. Most of the time, it’s due to the mattress not meeting flammability standards (which makes it a fire hazard) or harmful materials found in the product. This tool ensures you and your family can have peace of mind.
