In this review, I’ll be comparing two all-foam bed-in-a-box mattresses from Nectar Sleep: the Nectar Classic and the Nectar Premier. The Nectar Classic’s the company’s flagship model and is known for being comfortable yet affordable, while the Nectar Premier has a strong resemblance to the Nectar but features extra cooling and relieving features. Because they do have a lot in common, it can be difficult to know which one may be the best fit for you.

- Although both competitively priced, the Nectar is a true budget option and is a little less expensive than the Nectar Premier. We consider a budget option to be less than $1,500 for a queen size.
Nectar and Nectar Premier Mattress Feel Comparison
Now let’s get into detail about how these beds feel. A mattress will feel different to you depending on your body type, weight, shape, and preferred sleeping position.
Nectar
I gave the Nectar a 6 out of 10 on the firmness scale. The industry standard for medium-firm is a 6.5 out of 10, so it has a slightly softer feel. The top foam layers conform around pressure points, which is great for back and side sleepers.
Overall, I think the Nectar has a medium-soft feel. I think it’d work really well for sleepers with joint pain wanting some sinkage.
Nectar Premier
I also gave the Nectar Premier a 6 out of 10 on the firmness scale, so it’s a medium-soft mattress. It has an extra inch of gel memory foam, so sleepers should get deeper sinkage and pressure relief.
Overall, I think some sleepers could find the Nectar Premier to feel medium-firm at first, but as the memory foam conforms to their bodies, it brings a softer feel.
Comparing What it’s Like to Sleep on the Nectar and Nectar Premier
As mentioned earlier, your body weight and preferred sleeping position will determine how a mattress feels to you. So, let’s go through how each bed could feel for the following sleepers:
Nectar
Back — Back sleepers should be happy on this bed as they sink through the memory foam layers and experience pressure relief.
Side — Side sleepers should enjoy the contouring they’ll feel around their pressure points.
Stomach — Some lightweight stomach sleepers weighing under 130 pounds could like this bed. However, I think most stomach sleepers are going to want a more firm mattress in order to keep their hips lifted to be in line with their shoulders.
Body Weight — If you’re a lighter sleeper, a mattress is going to feel firmer to you than a sleeper who’s heavier than you. Conversely, if you’re a heavier sleeper, a mattress is going to feel softer to you. I don’t think this will be the best fit for heavier sleepers weighing over 250 pounds and would steer them to a more supportive mattress. I recommend heavy people look for a bed specifically designed for higher body weights.
Nectar Premier
Back — The Nectar Premier is a great option for back sleepers. The foams should fill in their lumbar region and offer support.
Side — I think side sleepers should experience deep pressure relief on the Premier.
Stomach — Lightweight stomach sleepers could be happy on this bed, but I think other stomach sleepers will want a more firm mattress to prop their hips up and promote spinal alignment.
Body Weight — If you’re a lighter sleeper, this mattress will feel a bit firmer, and if you’re heavier, it will feel a bit softer. Similarly to the Nectar, I don’t think it’s the best fit for heavier sleepers.
