Nectar Sleep is a mattress and bedding company best known for its all-foam, doughy beds that bring pressure relief for sleepers of all kinds. That is, until the company recently launched its new line of hybrid beds (meaning they feature a combination of both foams and coils).
In this Nectar hybrid Mattress comparison, I want to compare Nectar’s new hybrid models: the Nectar Classic Hybrid, the Nectar Premier Hybrid, and the Nectar Premier Copper Hybrid. I’ll briefly describe the beds, highlight their features, and provide links to full reviews of each one.

As noted, there are now three mattresses in Nectar’s hybrid line and they are namesakes of the original foam models. Although they have some key differences, let’s first go over some of the similarities.
- Hybrid Build – These mattresses all use a combination of foams and coils. This allows them to be both pressure relieving and supportive.
- Cooling – These beds all have cooling components, including coils that promote airflow through them.
- Pressure Relief – The top layers of foam in these mattresses gently cushion sleepers and provide relief to their pressure points.
- Responsiveness – All of these beds are much bouncier and more responsive than their all-foam counterparts.
- Shipping – These Nectar Hybrids are all bed-in-a-box mattresses, which means they ship compressed in a box. You’ll have to unbox your mattress at home and allow about 24 to 48 hours for it to fully expand and release any packing smells. They all ship for free.
- Trial Period/Warranty – These beds all come with a 365-night trial period and a lifetime warranty, or a forever warranty as Nectar likes to call it.

Nectar Classic Hybrid
This is the most affordable bed out of the hybrid models. The 12-inch Nectar Classic Hybrid has a medium-firm feel, which is a good option for a variety of sleepers.
Construction Specs:
- Cover – A quilted cooling cover that has antimicrobial protection and a smooth feel.
- Comfort layer – A 2-inch layer of gel-infused memory foam to help keep sleepers cool and provide them pressure relief.
- Transition layer – A 1-inch dynamic foam layer to ease into the layer of coils below.
- Support layer – An 8-inch layer of individually wrapped coils to provide support and bounce in the bed.
- Base layer – An inch of foam to keep everything stabilized.
Firmness: 6.5/10 on the firmness scale. The industry standard for medium firmness is a 6.5, so this is a true medium-firm bed.
Motion Transfer: Average motion transfer, which isn’t too surprising for a bed with springs. This means the bed does an average job of stopping movement from traveling from one side to the other. You’ll likely feel your partner’s or pet’s bigger movements in the night.
Edge Support: Edge support is how well the perimeter of a mattress bears weight, so it’s nice for couples who want to use the full surface of the bed or for anyone who likes to sit or sleep near the edge of the mattress. The Nectar Classic Hybrid has good edge support.
Pressure Relief: The layers of foam help provide pressure relief and fill in the lumbar region.

Edge Support: The Nectar Premier Hybrid has good edge support.
Pressure Relief: The Nectar Premier Hybrid does a good job of providing pressure relief to sleepers. However, the all-foam version takes pressure relief a step further with deeper sinkage.

The 14-inch Nectar Premier Copper Hybrid is the most responsive out of all the Nectars in my opinion. Its fast-moving foams could be good for combination sleepers or anyone looking for a softer feel.
Construction Specs:
- Cover – A quilted cooling cover with copper fibers and an antimicrobial finish. These fibers help prevent body heat from trapping.
- Comfort layer – A 2-inch layer of gel-infused memory foam to conform to sleepers’ bodies and also keep them cool.
- Lift layer – A 2-inch supportive foam layer to help promote spinal alignment.
- Transition layer – A 1-inch dynamic foam layer to transition the bed from foam to springs.
- Support layer – An 8-inch layer of individually wrapped coils to keep the bed supportive and responsive.
- Base layer – A final inch of foam to stabilize the mattress.
Firmness: 6/10 on the firmness scale. When compared to the industry standard of 6.5 for medium firmness, this bed is a little softer than average and is the softest of the three hybrid models.
Motion Transfer: The extra inch of foam in this mattress helps it absorb motion more than the other two hybrid beds, but it still does a pretty average job overall due to its coils.
Edge Support: The Nectar Premier Copper Hybrid has good edge support and should allow sleepers to sprawl out on the bed.
Pressure Relief: This mattress does a good job of relieving pressure with its medium-soft feel.

The hybrid mattresses from Nectar could all work well for back sleepers, side sleepers, combination sleepers, and hot sleepers. I think the Nectar Classic Hybrid is a great option for budget shoppers searching for a medium-firm feel, the Nectar Premier Hybrid’s a nice choice for anyone wanting more support, and the Nectar Premier Copper Hybrid’s the best option for those looking for a softer, cooler, and taller option.
Which Nectar Hybrid Mattress is Best for You?
Back Sleepers — These sleepers should enjoy all three of these mattresses, but especially the support features in the Premier Hybrid and Premier Copper Hybrid.
Side Sleepers — I think some side sleepers, especially if they’re combination sleepers, could like all three of these hybrids. However, the Premier Copper Hybrid is the softest option of the three, which means it’ll offer more relief around the shoulder and hip.
Stomach Sleepers — I don’t think any of these beds are the best picks for strict stomach sleepers, but stomach sleepers weighing under 130 pounds could do well on the Classic Hybrid or Premier Hybrid.
Combination Sleepers — If you switch between multiple sleeping positions at night, these beds are all great choices since the coils keep them bouncy.
Heavy Sleepers — If you’re over 250 pounds, I think the Nectar Premier Copper Hybrid would be the best pick of the three. However, I’d also suggest taking a look at some of our favorite mattresses for heavier sleepers for some more options.
