Hatch alarms might be one of the most noteworthy sunrise alarm clock on the market. Between it’s TikTok fame, and bevy of witty partnerships Hatch has cemented itself as a top brand in the luxury sleep and wellness space.
While the functionality of Hatch alarms might be a bit more important than how the alarms look, as a consumer, I still definitely prioritize how a piece of technology will look in my home. Enter Hatch’s new sage green colorway for their flagship Restore 2 alarm clock. As a certified green girly, this drop is super exciting to me. According to Hatch’s press kit surrounding the release of the brand new sage green Restore 2, this holiday is dropping just in time for “the holidays (…and Wicked?).” (1)
If you’ve been living under a rock, and are unfamiliar with Hatch’s Restore 2 alarm clock, then let me fill you in. Essentially, the Restore 2 is a smart alarm clock that aims to do everything from lulling you to sleep, waking you up gently with sounds and lights and helping keep you off of your phone right before hitting the hay or waking up.
Typically, to access the full spectrum of features that Hatch has to offer, you’ll need to purchase a $4.99 a month Hatch+ subscription, but the clock will still have some basic functionality even without this subscription.

What’s New About Hatch’s Sage Green Restore 2?
Right now, it seems like the only thing that is really new about Hatch’s sage green Restore 2 alarm is the color. Hatch told Sleepopolis that “Sage features the same content options available on Restore 2 to customize your best sleep routine, from soothing light and sleep sounds at night to gentle sunrise alarms for energized mornings.” (2)
The back and sides of the alarm, where the control buttons reside, are a matte sage green color, and the bottom of the fabric-y front of the alarm is also light sage green color.
The new sage green Restore 2 will set you back $169.99, which is the same as the Slate, Latte, and Putty colorways offered by the brand. The product went on sale on November 12, 2024, and will only be available “for a limited time only while supplies last.” (2)
This is also the first time that the brand has forayed into specialized releases, and while we don’t have word on whether or not the company plans to do more specialized releases for the Restore 2 or other Hatch products, we can only hope that the company continues to release more colors for their clocks.
Why Did Hatch Pick The Color Green?
Hatch shared their reasoning for choosing sage green with Sleepopolis, saying “We’ve been eager to offer an additional color outside of our standard options (Latte, Putty and Slate). Sage felt like a perfect blend of aesthetic and calm while also being a nod to nature and natural influences like a restful forest or moss on a babbling brook. And of course, green around the holidays felt like a timely choice as well.” (2)
We asked whether or not Hatch could share any details about any future plans that they have for new colors for the Restore 2, and the company played coy saying “We can’t share any specifics yet, but there is definitely something new in the works that we’re eager to announce come the New Year.” (2)
