Parachute Home is well-known for their bedding sets and if you are interested in buying a set of new sheets from them, you might not know which is best for you. In this comparison, I’ll put the Parachute Sateen, Percale, and Linen sheet sets head-to-head to help you decide which are best for you.
I have personally tested all three of these sheet sets and I’ll go over what they’re made of, how they feel, and who they are best suited for. If you are short on time, you can always skip ahead for a review summary.
Parachute Sheets Similarities
First, let’s go over what each set of Parachute sheets have in common.
Each Parachute sheet set includes a fitted sheet and two pillowcases with envelope-style closures. Envelope-style means the closure is on the back of the pillowcase, rather than on one side. This means your pillow can’t slide out of the pillowcase, nor can any tags or zippers stick out.
The sheet sets do not include a top sheet by default — you have to opt to add one in for an additional cost. Additionally, each fitted sheet has 16-inch pockets.
What Are The Parachute Sheets Made Of?
Materials are one of the most important factors to assess when deciding if a sheet set is right for you. Different materials have different feels, offer different cooling and warming properties, and have different appearances.
Parachute Sateen Sheets Materials
The Parachute Sateen sheets are made from 100 percent long-staple Egyptian cotton. Egyptian cotton is considered to be among the highest quality because of its especially long staples. Longer staples, or fibers, result in a higher-quality, more durable sheet that is less likely to pill.
These sheets have a sateen weave, which is a four over, one under weave that gives the sheets a silky feel and lustrous sheen.
Parachute Percale Sheets Materials
The Parachute Percale sheets are also made from 100 percent long-staple Egyptian cotton, but with a percale weave instead of sateen. Percale is a one over, one under weave and is much crisper, more lightweight, and more breathable than sateen.
These sheets are OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified for chemical safety. They are made in Portugal and garment-washed to be soft right out of the box.
Parachute Linen Sheets Materials
The Parachute Linen sheets are made from 100 percent European flax. Flax is a plant whose fibers are used to create the yarn linen is woven with and is well-known for its durability, breathability, and ability to soften over time.
The Parachute Linen sheets are also made in Portugal, garment-washed, and OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified.
What Do The Parachute Sheets Feel Like?
Now that we’ve gone over what these sheets are made of, let’s talk about how they feel.
Parachute Sateen Sheets Feel
I found the Parachute Sateen sheets to have a satiny, ultra-soft, and smooth feel — perfect for snuggling up after a long day. These are among the softest sheets I have ever tested (and I’ve tested a lot). I think these sheets would be well-suited to sleepers who want a sheet that feels similar to silk, without having to buy actual silk sheets, which tend to be more expensive. These sateen sheets also have a subtle sheen, which gives them a nice look in addition to their cozy feel.
Parachute Percale Sheets Feel
I think the Parachute Percale sheets have a classically percale feel — they are light, crisp, and breathable. They have a very smooth feel, likely thanks to the long-staple cotton they are made with. Plus, they are garment washed to feel soft and worn-in right out of the box.
What really stood out to me about these percale sheets is just how lightweight they feel. Percale is a generally light and airy material, but these Parachute sheets are even lighter and more airy than other percale sheets I have tested.
Parachute Linen Sheets Feel
The Parachute Linen sheets are actually one of my favorite linen sheets sets, because they are seriously some of the softest linen sheets I’ve tried. I actually sleep on them at home! They definitely still have the distinct, textured feel of linen, but they lack some of the coarseness linen sometimes has. They are also garment-washed for softness and it seems to be very effective.
Are Parachute Sheets Good For Hot Sleepers?
If you are a hot sleeper, it’s important to find sheets that keep you cool at night, rather than making you feel even warmer than you already do.
Among the Parachute sheets, the percale and linen sets are both fantastic options for hot sleepers. I felt cool and comfortable in both of these sheet sets, as both are extremely breathable.
Percale is a breathable weave already and the fact that the Parachute Percale sheets are so lightweight only makes them better for hot sleepers. Similarly, linen is an extremely breathable fabric — even more so than cotton — and the lightweight quality of the Parachute Linen sheets makes them an even better choice for hot sleepers.
I didn’t find the Parachute Sateen sheets to be extremely heat-trapping, but I also didn’t feel particularly cool in them. Sateen is a thicker weave than percale, so it usually sleeps warmer.

How Durable Are Parachute Sheets?
Durability is an important consideration when shopping for sheets. I thought all three of these sets felt like quality sheets. The two cotton sheets are made with long-staple cotton, which is less likely to pill than short-staple, as the fibers are less likely to poke out of the weave.
However, I did scan through some customer reviews on Parachute’s website that noted quality issues, like pilling and tearing, with the percale and linen sets. I have been sleeping on the Parachute Linen sheets for a few months and haven’t noticed any of the quality issues noted in these reviews, but they are worth taking into consideration.
Do Parachute Sheets Stay On The Bed?
All three of these sheet sets have 16-inch pockets on the fitted sheet, which should be large enough to easily fit on most mattresses. I had no issues with these sheets coming off the bed. I also appreciate how the envelope-style closures keep the pillowcases secure on the pillows.
Are Parachute Sheets Good For You?
With all that in mind, let’s go over which set of Parachute bedding might be best for you, as well as some complaints about each set.
Who Should Try Parachute Sateen Sheets
- If you prefer a silky-soft feel, the Parachute Sateen sheets are a good option for you. They feel very satiny and smooth to the touch.
- If you want sheets with a lustrous finish, you will likely love the subtle sheen on these sateen sheets.
- If you want a set of year round sheets, the Parachute Sateen are a good option, as they don’t sleep particularly hot or cool.
Parachute Sateen Sheets Complaints
- If you are a hot sleeper, these might not be the best option of these three sheet sets. They aren’t especially cooling compared to the linen or percale.
- If you want twin or twin XL sheets, these won’t work as they aren’t available in those sizes — only full, queen, king, and California king sizes.
- The Parachute Sateen sheets also have the fewest color options among the Parachute sheet sets.

Who Should Try Parachute Percale Sheets
- If you like lightweight sheets, you should love the Parachute Percale sheets. They are among the lightest sheets I have ever tested and you certainly won’t feel weighed down by them.
- If you are a hot sleeper, these percale sheets should keep you nice and cool.
- If you prefer a crisper sheet, these should be a good option for you, as they have a crisp and structured feel.
Parachute Percale Sheets Complaints
- If you don’t want wrinkly bedding, these might not be the best sheets for you. I found them to wrinkle quite easily.
- If you want an ultra-soft sheet, these also might not be the best bed sheets for you. They are soft, but the dominant feel is much more crisp.
- If you are a cold sleeper, these light and airy sheets won’t do much to keep you warm.

Who Should Try Parachute Linen Sheets
- If you are a hot sleeper, these light and breathable linen sheets are a great option for you.
- If you are interested in a linen bedding set but not sure you’ll like the feel of linen, these are a great set. They have the cozy, textured feel of linen but aren’t overly coarse.
- If you want a variety of color options, this linen sheet set has the most out of the Parachute sheets.
Parachute Linen Sheets Complaints
- If you prefer a smoother feel, the textured feel of linen may not appeal to you.
- If you are a budget shopper, these might not be the best option out of the three Parachute sets, as they are the most expensive.
- If you want wrinkle-free sheets, these likely won’t be a good fit for you. They are fairly prone to wrinkles in my experience.
