The DreamCloud Premier is a hybrid, bed-in-a-box mattress that combines the pressure relief of foam with the support and mobility of coils. This mattress also features a Euro top construction that allows for that initial sinkage into this bed. The DreamCloud brand labels the DreamCloud Premier as a luxury hybrid mattress, but does it live up to the hype?
Hybrid mattresses can vary a lot when it comes to how they feel and the sleep positions that they best accommodate. So, I was curious to see how the DreamCloud Premier would perform on my full range of tests, and I’m excited to share what I learned about this mattress here.
Ready to learn more about this online hybrid mattress? Keep reading below for my comprehensive review, or skip on down to my review summary if you only have time for the nuts and bolts.
The DreamCloud Premier’s construction is a thoughtful, luxurious take on the company’s flagship mattress. It uses a hybrid of foam and coils to achieve a firmer feel that’s still pressure-relieving. We think many back sleepers and stomach sleepers should appreciate this mattress. With such versatility and many special features, the Premier is well-equipped to cater to couples. What our tester says:
“From the cashmere cover to the Euro top, you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck with this bed. I really like how this mattress combines sturdy support with cozy pressure relief — making it a great choice for back sleepers.” – Bridget Chapman, former Sleepopolis senior product editor
DreamCloud Premier Mattress Overview
The DreamCloud Premier is a hybrid mattress created by the DreamCloud brand that offers a solid mix of pressure relief and support. The support layer of this bed is made up of coils that work to keep sleepers elevated and stabilized, while the top layers of foam add some initial sinkage and comfort for the sleeper. Lying on this bed, I felt well-supported and uplifted — I didn’t sink much into the materials included in this mattress, so I would say it has more of an “on top” feel to it than a “sinking” feel. However, the DreamCloud Premier wasn’t overly firm — something that I appreciate as someone who prefers a softer bed.
It is also important to note that the DreamCloud brand classifies the DreamCloud Premier as a luxury mattress, and I think by the end of this review, you’ll understand why. This mattress includes a cashmere cover and a Euro pillow top, giving it that plush, comforting feel that’s common in many luxurious beds. Plus, the DreamCloud Premier includes high-quality materials at a low cost, which is an added plus for more budget-conscious shoppers.
The DreamCloud Premier is a bed-in-a-box mattress, which means it will ship to you compressed in a box. You’ll need to unbox it at home and wait for it to fully decompress and off-gas before sleeping. This bed may release a slight chemical odor while it is off-gassing, but this shouldn’t last more than 24 hours. However, we do recommend leaving your new mattress in a well-ventilated room until it has fully off-gassed.

DreamCloud Premier Mattress Review Video
To give readers more of a first-hand view of the mattresses on the Sleepopolis website, we make sure to test out our beds on camera, so you can see how they function in a variety of different categories. Below, you can take a look at how the DreamCloud Premier performed in areas like edge support, motion transfer, and materials. Overall, the DreamCloud Premier scored a 4.6 out of 5, but we’ll also outline its individual scores in the next section.
DreamCloud Premier Mattress Sleepopolis Score
As you can see, the DreamCloud Premier is a stellar mattress, as it scored a 5 in four of its individual categories. The DreamCloud Premier scored lowest on cooling, edge support, and motion isolation, but even these categories scored a 4, making them fairly high, as well.
What Is the DreamCloud Premier Mattress Made Of?
The DreamCloud Premier is a hybrid, bed-in-a-box mattress that combines several layers of memory and poly foams with pocketed coils. The combination of foams and coils creates a strong balance of comfort and support for sleepers. Plus, the Euro top construction lets sleepers sink into the top layer of this mattress, while the bounce from the coils means it’s still easy to switch positions during the night, which is an added bonus for combination sleepers.
Cover — The DreamCloud Premier includes a Mongolian cashmere blend cover that’s both lightweight and moisture-wicking. This means that hot sleepers should receive a cool-to-the-touch feel from the top of this mattress.
Euro Top — Next up is the Trueloft Euro top layer. This Euro top is quilted with one inch of high loft memory foam and one inch of soft support foam, providing some nice body-contouring and pressure relief to the DreamCloud Premier.
Comfort Layer — Below the Euro top is a 2.5-inch layer of contouring memory foam that allows for slow sinkage and pressure relief on the DreamCloud Premier.
Support Layer — Next up, there’s a support layer made of 8.5 inches of pocketed coils. These coils provide decent mobility, so sleepers shouldn’t feel stuck in the DreamCloud Premier. The coils are also individually wrapped, so they move independently of one another. These coils can help reduce motion transfer and promote airflow — both of which are factors that should especially appeal to couples.
Base Layer — Finally, the DreamCloud Premier includes a base layer made of one inch of high-density poly foam. This layer doesn’t have much of an impact on the bed’s overall feel, but it does provide a firmer surface for the innerspring coils to press off of.
DreamCloud Premier Mattress Firmness
Now that you have a general idea of the materials included in the DreamCloud Premier, we can start to go into detail about how this mattress feels in general. However, before we start, I do want to remind readers that firmness and feel are both pretty subjective measurements that can be influenced by body type, weight, and preferred sleeping position.
To try and combat this, we do make sure to have multiple Sleepopolis mattress testers try out each bed. First, we have our colleagues lie down on the DreamCloud Premier, spend some time on it, and then give this bed an individual score of 1 to 10, which 1 equating to a very soft mattress, and 10 equating to a very firm mattress. Then, we average all of these individual scores together to come up with the DreamCloud Premier’s final firmness rating.
Based on our experiences lying on the DreamCloud Premier, we gave this mattress a 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale. The industry standard for a medium-firm mattress is set at a 6.5 on this scale, so the DreamCloud Premier is just a bit firmer than medium-firm. When we look at the DreamCloud Premier’s construction, it’s clear why it scored a 7 on the firmness scale. The DreamCloud Premier uses a combination of pressure-relieving foams and supportive coils to keep a nice balance between stability and comfort. The support of the coils balances out the gentleness of the foams and vice versa — leading to a firmness that’s right around medium.
The DreamCloud Premier is a hybrid, bed-in-a-box mattress that feels very luxurious and offers lots of firm support and soft pressure relief. It's a great choice for back sleepers and combination sleepers, who should appreciate its responsiveness.

Sleeping Position and Body Weight
Is the DreamCloud Premier a Good Mattress for Light Sleepers (Under 130 pounds)?
- Light Back Sleepers — I think that the DreamCloud Premier is a solid choice for light back sleepers, especially those who suffer with back pain. This bed’s firm build provides strong support that helps to promote a neutral spinal alignment for these sleepers.
- Light Side Sleepers — I think the DreamCloud Premier is going to be a little bit too firm for the majority of light weight side sleepers. I don’t think these sleepers will receive the sinkage they need around their hips and shoulders from this mattress in order to sleep comfortably throughout the night. Instead, I recommend that these sleepers check out our roundup of the best mattresses for side sleepers.
- Light Stomach Sleepers — The DreamCloud Premier should work nicely for light weight stomach sleepers, as it should feel like a true firm mattress to them. These sleepers should get the support they need to keep their hips lifted in line with their shoulders from the bouncy feel of this mattress.
Is the DreamCloud Premier a Good Mattress for Average Weight Sleepers (130 to 250 pounds)?
- Average Weight Back Sleepers — These sleepers should be quite happy on the DreamCloud Premier. Mattresses on the slightly firmer side, like this one, are great for back sleepers because they tend to keep their spines stable in a healthy alignment.
- Average Weight Side Sleepers — I’d steer these sleepers to a softer mattress, so they can get better pressure relief around their pressure points. Typically, I recommend a mattress that scored a 6 or below on the firmness scale. If this sounds like you, I recommend checking out our roundup of the best soft mattresses.
- Average Weight Stomach Sleepers — I think most average weight stomach sleepers should be happy on the DreamCloud Premier. However, if you are on the heavier side of average, or you suffer with back pain, you might want to opt for an even firmer bed that’ll prevent your hips from sinking out of line with your shoulders.
Is the DreamCloud Premier a Good Mattress for Heavy Sleepers (over 250 pounds)?
- Heavy Back Sleepers — I think the DreamCloud Premier will work nicely for heavy weight back sleepers. For a mattress to be helpful for heavy people, it has to have sturdy support, and the firm DreamCloud Premier definitely has that.
- Heavy Side Sleepers — I also like the DreamCloud Premier for heavy side sleepers. Mattresses will feel a bit softer to heavy people than it would to average or light weight people, so heavy side sleepers should get the firmness level they need on this bed.
- Heavy Stomach Sleepers — I don’t think the DreamCloud Premier is quite right for heavy stomach sleepers. I’d steer these sleepers to a firmer mattress that will better support their hips, like one of the beds included in our roundup of the best mattresses for heavy people.
DreamCloud Premier Mattress Performance
Firmness can tell us a lot about a mattress, but it doesn’t tell us everything. To really determine whether a mattress is a good match for you, it’s also critical to think about factors like pressure relief and motion isolation. To give you an idea of how the DreamCloud Premier performs in these areas, I ran it through a few tests, including a motion isolation test, a pressure map test, and more. Keep reading below to find out this bed’s results.
DreamCloud Premier Mattress Pain Relief Performance
A mattress that offers great pressure relief will also alleviate pain. In case you haven’t come across this term before, let’s define what we’re talking about when it comes to pressure relief. Simply, this refers to a bed’s ability to alleviate tension at sensitive areas, such as the hips, lower back, and shoulders. It tells you whether or not a mattress will ease pressure on various parts of your body, so you can sleep comfortably in your preferred sleeping position.
To test the pressure relief on the DreamCloud Premier, I used a handy-dandy pressure map. I placed this device on top of the mattress, hopped on top, and let the map track my body’s force as I tried out different positions on the bed. After I was done, the pressure map creates a color-coded graphic image, with low-pressure areas highlighted in blue and green, and high-pressure areas highlighted in yellow and red.
Before you take a look at the DreamCloud Premier’s results on this evaluation, it’s important to take your preferred sleeping position into account first. The DreamCloud Premier works well for a majority of sleepers, but side sleepers might find that this bed isn’t soft enough to relieve pressure around their hips and shoulders. Because of this, even if the DreamCloud Premier works well for hip pain, I still don’t recommend that strict side sleepers purchase this bed. In short — always put your preferred sleeping position above a certain mattress’s pressure map results.
As you can see above, the map is pretty much all blue at my back, which indicates low pressure when back sleeping. Personally, I felt like my back was particularly supported by the soft foam layers that were able to fill in the space around my lumbar region, while the coils included in this bed kept my spine in a neutral alignment. However, there is some red present around the shoulders for side sleeping, which means that these sleepers probably won’t get the pressure relief they need to sleep soundly throughout the night. The same is true for side sleepers with hip pain, according to the green present around this area.
Motion Transfer
Motion transfer refers to the amount of movement that is able to travel across the surface of the mattress from one side to the other. This is especially important for folks who share the bed with a partner or a pet and don’t want to wake up from the movements of their bed companions during the night.
We put the DreamCloud Premier through a couple different tests to determine its motion transfer score. First, we simply lie down on the bed, have a colleague move around next to us, and see how much of their movements we can feel. Next, we place a full wine glass on the other side of the mattress and see how much it sloshes when we move around on our side of the bed. Finally, we drop a 10-pound steel ball onto the mattress from 4 inches, 8 inches, and 12 inches. These heights mimic various movements, from run-of-the-mill tossing and turning to getting out of bed or jumping on top of it. We measured the disturbance caused by each of these drops using a seismometer. The bigger the lines, the bigger the disturbance. Below, you can take a look at how the DreamCloud Premier performed on these evaluations.
These are great motion transfer results. The memory foam included in the top layers of the DreamCloud Premier does a nice job of tamping down motion and preventing disturbance across this bed. Additionally, when I had my colleague get into bed with me and move around, I hardly felt her movements on my side of the bed at all. This tells me that the DreamCloud Premier should be a good choice for couples who don’t want to be woken up by their restless partner during the night.
Responsiveness
I test how responsive a bed is by pressing my hand down onto the top layer of the mattress and seeing how long it takes for that layer to return to its original shape. In general, memory foam beds are going to have the lowest response to pressure, while hybrid beds that contain coils (like the DreamCloud Premier) usually have a higher response to pressure.
The DreamCloud Premier may not be the bounciest mattress out there, but it certainly has an “on top” feel to it that results in easy mobility. Because of this, the DreamCloud Premier should work well for combination sleepers, who need to be able to easily switch positions and move around throughout the night without “sinking” into the layers of their mattress. A responsive mattress also equates to a good mattress for sex, so couples should be happy with the DreamCloud Premier.
Cooling
In general, there are several factors that contribute to a mattress’s cooling ability, but the first thing we look at is a certain mattress’s construction. Because the DreamCloud Premier is a hybrid mattress, it does have added airflow and breathability from the coils present in its support layer. However, this bed is not made with any specialized cooling technology in its foam layers, so if you’re looking for an especially cooling mattress, you may want to take a look at our roundup of the best cooling mattresses instead.
Edge Support
Edge support helps us determine whether or not sleepers are as supported on the sides of their mattress as they are in the middle. This is usually an important factor for couples who want to use the full surface area of their bed, heavier sleepers (those over 250 pounds) who need addition support and durability from their mattress, or anyone who likes to spread out during the night. The DreamCloud Premier has pretty strong edge support, which allows sleepers to utilize the full surface area of this mattress without fear of sinkage or sagging near the sides.
DreamCloud Premier Mattress Performance for Couples
If you sleep with a partner, there are a few features you’ll definitely want to look out for when shopping for a new mattress. You’ll want to make sure it absorbs your partner’s movements, sleeps nice and cool, is good for sex, and has sturdy edges. When it comes to the DreamCloud Premier, I do think that couples should be happy with this mattress. The DreamCloud Premier scored very well on our motion transfer test, proving that couples shouldn’t feel the movements of their partner during the night. This mattress is also very responsive and has strong edge support, so couples can spread out and move around easily without bumping into their partner. While the DreamCloud may not be the coolest mattress on the market, the coils in its support layer do allow for additional airflow throughout this bed.
DreamCloud Premier Durability Score
The DreamCloud Premier earns high marks in durability thanks to its hybrid construction and high-quality materials. Those materials include a Mongolian cashmere blend cover, 8.5 inches of pocketed coils, and a high-density poly foam base.
Overall Durability Score | 4.6 |
Materials | 4.5 |

During testing, I found that the DreamCloud Premier offers a luxurious feel while being built to withstand daily use. Since this mattress is a 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale, I think sleepers will find it maintains its shape quite well while still being supportive and comfortable. Its hybrid construction adds to its durability, as all-foam beds tend to sag more over time.
After 30 days, sleepers will likely notice the DreamCloud Premier settling into its supportive feel and conforming to their bodies with minimal signs of wear. The Premier’s strong edge support should also allow sleepers to use the entire surface without any significant sagging, making it a dependable choice for couples in the long term.
At the three-year mark, I expect the DreamCloud Premier to continue maintaining its shape and support. Any signs of wear should be minimal, thanks to its premium materials and thoughtful design. Here, folks should notice the combination of pocketed coils and high-density foam helping the DreamCloud Premier retain its firmness and feel.
Ten years down the line, I believe this mattress will remain structurally sound over time despite minimal signs of wear and tear. Overall, the DreamCloud Premier is built for longevity, making it a worthwhile investment for those looking for a mattress that can withstand the test of time while providing a comfortable night’s sleep.

My Final Thoughts about the DreamCloud Premier Mattress
You’ve officially made it to the end of the DreamCloud Premier’s review. However, before we go our separate ways, one question remains: Is the DreamCloud Premier the right mattress for you? While I can’t answer that on your behalf, I can share a few of my favorite, and not so favorite, things about this bed.
Who I Recommend the DreamCloud Premier Mattress For
- The DreamCloud Premier should be a great choice for back sleepers. It provides nice support, while also providing some sinkage, comfort, and pressure relief. Plus, the pocketed coils included in this mattress should offer enough support to keep sleepers’ spines neutrally aligned, helping them to avoid back pain.
- This mattress should be well-suited to couples. The foams in the top layers of this mattress do a great job of cutting down on motion transfer, so sleepers shouldn’t feel too disturbed by a restless partner on this bed. Plus, the sturdy coils and foams included in the construction of this mattress add some responsiveness to this bed and allow for strong edge support.
- I really enjoy how luxurious this mattress feels. The DreamCloud Premier includes high-quality materials in its construction, like a cashmere cover and a Euro pillow top layer.
Who I Don’t Recommend the DreamCloud Premier Mattress For
- The DreamCloud Premier sleeps a little hot compared to other hybrid beds on the market. If you’re prone to overheating in your sleep, you might want to look for a mattress with more cooling materials or invest in cooling sheets to pair with the DreamCloud Premier. You can also check out our roundup of the best cooling mattresses to find some beds that don’t trap as much body heat.
- Strict side sleepers probably won’t get enough cushioning from the DreamCloud Premier. If you spend all night on your side, this bed might not provide adequate pressure relief. The DreamCloud Premier has a firmer, “lifted up” feel to it that’s better tailored to back or stomach sleepers.

DreamCloud Premier Mattress Policies and FAQs
How is the DreamCloud Premier shipped?
DreamCloud offers free shipping. The DreamCloud Premier will ship to you in five to 10 business days and will arrive compressed in a box. You should allow a few hours for off-gassing once you unwrap your new mattress. If you decide to return your DreamCloud Premier, DreamCloud does offer a full refund in many cases.
Does the DreamCloud Premier ship to Canada?
Yes. DreamCloud offers free shipping on all of its mattresses to most of Canada. The only exceptions are customers in Yukon and the Northwest Territories, who may have to pay an additional fee.
Do you need a box spring with a DreamCloud?
No, a box spring isn’t necessary for sleeping on the DreamCloud. The mattress is designed to work on a slatted bed frame. DreamCloud does offer an adjustable base that works with this bed, you can learn more about it in our DreamCloud adjustable base review.
How long does a DreamCloud mattress last?
Most online mattresses last for approximately five to seven years. The DreamCloud premier is a hybrid mattress, so it will last longer than a foam mattress. I’d recommend checking your DreamCloud for signs of wear after about five years.
Does DreamCloud offer a warranty?
Yes, DreamCloud offers a lifetime warranty on all it’s mattresses. This is a great sign that DreamCloud is confident in the durability of their products.
Does DreamCloud offer a sleep trial period?
Yes, DreamCloud offers a 365-night trial on the DreamCloud premier. A full year is a comparatively long trial period, which is another good sign that DreamCloud is confident in this mattress.

DreamCloud Premier vs Saatva Classic
The DreamCloud Premier and the Saatva Classic are very similar in the fact that both of these beds include coils in their construction, and they both scored a 7 on the firmness scale, making them just slightly firmer than the industry standard for a medium-firm mattress (which is set at a 6.5 on the firmness scale). However, these mattresses differ in the fact that the DreamCloud Premier is a hybrid mattress, so it includes both coils and foam layers in its construction, while the Saatva Classic is an innerspring bed, so it has a coil-on-coil construction instead. This influences both the cooling abilities and the overall feel of these beds.
- Price: The DreamCloud Premier and the Saatva Classic are actually pretty similar in price. A queen sized DreamCloud Premier costs around $1,599, while a queen sized Saatva Classic costs around $1,795. If you’re looking to save a couple hundred dollars, though, I do recommend sticking with the DreamCloud Premier.
- Sleeping position: The DreamCloud Premier and the Saatva Classic both scored a 7 on the firmness scale, making these mattresses similar in feel. Because of this, both of these beds work best for back sleepers of all body weights (light, average, and heavy). Neither one of these beds works well for side sleepers, as the firmness of these mattresses prevents these sleepers from receiving the pressure relief they need around their hips and shoulders.
- Cooling: When it comes to cooling, neither one of these mattresses is going to be the coolest bed on the market. However, because the Saatva Classic is an innerspring bed, it has a coil-on-coil construction, without foam layers. This adds a little bit more airflow and breathability into this mattress than the DreamCloud Premier.
- Body weight: While both of these beds work well for heavy weight back sleepers, neither one is going to be the best pick for heavy weight stomach or side sleepers. This is because the DreamCloud Premier and the Saatva Classic are a little too firm for most heavy weigh side sleepers (unless they prefer a firmer bed) and a little too soft for most heavy weight stomach sleepers (unless they prefer a softer feel).
Interested in learning more about the Saatva Classic? Read more in our full Saatva Classic mattress review, or take a look at our full Saatva vs DreamCloud Premier mattress review.
We recommend this mattress for the following sleeper types: Financing options are available for this mattress. We were skeptical of buying a mattress on line but it could not have gone any smoother. Anthony answered all of our questions during our many phone conversations. Delivery was prompt and went without a hitch. Best of all the mattress is so comfortable! The Saatva’s coil-on-coil construction provides a classic innerspring feel. It's a good option for combo sleepers, who will want to feel free to switch positions and avoid feeling “stuck” in the mattress. It comes in three firmness levels, so you should be able to find one that suits your needs.

DreamCloud Premier vs Helix Midnight Luxe
When it comes to construction, the DreamCloud Premier and the Helix Midnight Luxe are very similar, as they are both hybrid beds that include coils and foam layers in their structure. However, where these two beds differ is in their feels. The DreamCloud Premier scored a 7 on the firmness scale, making it slightly firmer than the industry standard for a medium-firm bed, while the Helix Midnight Luxe scored a 6 on this same scale, giving this mattress more of a medium-soft feel to it. Because of this, the DreamCloud Premier works better for back and stomach sleepers, and the Helix Midnight Luxe works best for side sleepers or anyone who suffers with joint pain, especially around the hips, shoulders, or lower back.
- Price: The Helix Midnight Luxe is definitely the more expensive mattress out of the two. A queen sized Helix Midnight Luxe costs around $2,049, while a queen sized DreamCloud Premier costs around $1,599. If you’re a budget-conscious shopper, I recommend sticking with the DreamCloud Premier.
- Sleeping position: The Helix Midnight Luxe is quite a bit softer than the DreamCloud Premier, as it scored a 6 on the firmness scale compared to the DreamCloud Premier’s score of 7 on the same scale. Because of this, the Helix Midnight Luxe works especially well for side and back sleepers, but it is too soft for the majority of stomach sleepers. In comparison, the DreamCloud Premier works well for back and stomach sleepers, but it is slightly too firm for most side sleepers. However, both of these beds are quite responsive, so they should both be solid picks for combination sleepers who need to be able to switch positions easily during the night.
- Cooling: The DreamCloud Premier and the Helix Midnight Luxe are both hybrid mattresses, so they receive that extra airflow from the coils present in their construction. However, the Helix Midnight Luxe also includes a Tencel mattress cover. Tencel is a natural fiber made from Eucalyptus that is especially helpful with temperature regulation, making this mattress slightly cooler than the DreamCloud Premier.
- Body weight: Despite their differing scores on the firmness scale, these mattresses are actually very similar when it comes to which heavy weight sleepers they work best for. Both the DreamCloud Premier and the Helix Midnight Luxe are strong picks for heavy weight back and side sleepers, but neither one of these beds is going to be firm enough to keep heavy weight stomach sleepers’ hips in line with their shoulders.

We recommend this mattress for the following sleeper types: Financing options are available for this mattress. The Helix Midnight Luxe is a supportive mattress that's great for back sleepers. The Midnight Luxe’s thick comfort layer of memory foam provides plenty of pressure relief and contouring while the zoned coils offer a great deal of support.

DreamCloud Premier vs Nolah Natural
While the DreamCloud Premier and the Nolah Natural both include coils in their construction, they are not the same kind of hybrid mattress. The DreamCloud Premier includes foam layers, while the Nolah Natural includes latex layers. This material makes this mattress slightly bouncier and more responsive than the DreamCloud Premier, which is a plus for combination sleepers that need to be able to switch positions and move around easily during the night. These two mattresses also differ in their overall feels, with the DreamCloud Premier scoring a 7 on the firmness scale, while the Nolah Natural scored a 6 on the same scale. This means the Nolah Natural is going to work best for strict side sleepers and back sleepers who prefer a softer feel, and the DreamCloud Premier is the better pick for stomach sleepers that need more support and durability from their bed.
- Price: The DreamCloud Premier and the Nolah Natural are pretty similar when it comes to price. A queen sized DreamCloud Premier costs around $1,599, while a queen sized Nolah Natural costs around $1,799. However, if you are looking to save a couple hundred dollars on your new mattress, I recommend sticking with the DreamCloud Premier.
- Sleeping position: The Nolah Natural is a bit softer than the DreamCloud Premier, as the former scored a 6 on the firmness scale, while the latter scored a 7 on the same scale. Because of this, the Nolah Natural is going to work best for strict side sleepers and back sleepers that prefer a slightly softer feel. In contrast, the DreamCloud Premier works best for back and stomach sleepers who need more support and stability from their mattress. The Nolah Natural also uses latex instead of foams in its construction, making this bed slightly bouncier and more responsive than the DreamCloud Premier. This could be an added bonus for combination sleepers that want to make sure that they don’t “sink” into the layers of their bed during the night.
- Cooling: Both the DreamCloud Premier and the Nolah Natural include coils that add some breathability and airflow into these beds. However, while the DreamCloud Premier does not include any cooling technology in its foam layers, the Nolah Natural does include hole-punctured latex, which helps to prevent heat from getting trapped in this bed. This added technology makes the Nolah Natural slightly cooler than the DreamCloud Premier.
- Body weight: The DreamCloud Premier and the Nolah Natural are very similar when it comes to heavy weight sleepers (those over 250 pounds). Both of these beds work well for heavy weight back and side sleepers, but neither one of them is going to be firm enough to support heavy weight stomach sleepers throughout the night. Instead, I recommend that these sleepers check out our roundup of the best firm mattresses.

Other Models from DreamCloud
Curious about how the DreamCloud Premier stacks up against the DreamCloud brand’s other models? Keep reading below to compare this model against the original DreamCloud mattress and the DreamCloud Premier Rest.
DreamCloud Premier vs DreamCloud
These two mattresses are very similar when it comes to their construction and overall feel. Both the DreamCloud Premier and the original DreamCloud are hybrid beds, so they include coils in their lower layers, and they both scored a 7 on the firmness scale, making them slightly firmer than a typical medium-firm mattress. However, the DreamCloud Premier does include a Euro top layer, while the original DreamCloud does not. This allows this bed to work slightly better when it comes to pressure relief than the original DreamCloud, though we still don’t recommend either of these mattresses to strict side sleepers.
- Price: The DreamCloud Premier is slightly more expensive than the original DreamCloud mattress. A queen sized DreamCloud Premier costs around $1,599, while a queen sized DreamCloud mattress costs around $1,332. If you’re looking to save a few hundred dollars, I recommend opting for the original DreamCloud mattress.
- Sleeping position: The DreamCloud Premier and the original DreamCloud are very similar when it comes to feel. Both of these hybrid mattresses scored a 7 on the firmness scale, so they are both considered slightly firmer than the industry standard for a medium-firm mattress. Because of this, the DreamCloud Premier and the original DreamCloud work best for back and stomach sleepers and are slightly too firm for the majority of side sleepers, who need a softer mattress to make sure they get the pressure relief they need around their hips and shoulders.
- Cooling: The coils present in the DreamCloud Premier and the original DreamCloud add some extra airflow into both of these beds. However, the original DreamCloud does include gel infusions in its foam layers, which allows this mattress sleep slightly cooler than the DreamCloud Premiere.
- Body weight: Neither one of these mattresses is going to be supportive enough for heavy weight stomach sleepers. However, while both of these mattresses do work for heavy weight back sleepers, the DreamCloud Premier is going to be the better choice for heavy weight side sleepers, as these sleepers might still sink through the original DreamCloud’s foam layers, leading to uncomfortable pressure points around the hips and shoulders.

DreamCloud Premier vs DreamCloud Premier Rest
The DreamCloud Premier Rest is the ultimate luxury bed that the DreamCloud brand offers. The main difference between these two mattresses is the fact that the DreamCloud Premier Rest includes a luxury pillow top in its construction, which does add some plushness to this mattress. Because of this, the DreamCloud Premier Rest scored slightly lower than the DreamCloud Premier on the firmness scale, with a rating of 6.5 — the same score as the industry standard for a medium-firm bed. This rating makes the DreamCloud Premier Rest a better pick for side sleepers who need more pressure relief, while the DreamCloud Premier is still the better pick for stomach sleepers who need more stability and support.
- Price: The DreamCloud Premier Rest is slightly more expensive than the DreamCloud Premier. A queen sized DreamCloud Premier Rest costs around $1,799, while a queen sized DreamCloud Premier costs around $1,599. If you’re a budget-conscious shopper looking to save some money on your new mattress, I recommend sticking with the DreamCloud Premier.
- Sleeping position: The DreamCloud Premier Rest includes a luxury pillow top, which does add some plushness to this mattress. This allowed the DreamCloud Premier Rest to score slightly lower than the DreamCloud Premier on the firmness scale, with a 6.5 instead of a 7. Because of this, the DreamCloud Premier Rest does work well for side sleepers, while the DreamCloud Premier is still going to be slightly too firm for these sleepers. However, this also means that the DreamCloud Premier Rest is going to be too soft for the majority of stomach sleepers, while these sleepers should be able to rest comfortably on the firmer DreamCloud Premier.
- Cooling: Neither one of these beds is the most cooling mattress on the market. While the coils present in the lower layers of these hybrid mattresses do allow for some additional breathability and airflow, neither the DreamCloud Premier nor the DreamCloud Premier Rest include cooling technology in their foam layers. If you’re looking for an especially cooling mattress, check out our roundup of the best cooling mattresses.
- Body weight: The DreamCloud Premier and the DreamCloud Premier Rest both work well for heavy weight side and back sleepers. However, neither one of these mattresses is going to have the durability or support that heavy weight stomach sleepers need in order to keep their hips lifted in line with their shoulders, promoting a healthy spinal alignment.

Our Review Process
At Sleepopolis, our team of Certified Sleep Science Coaches personally test each mattress. We start by unboxing the mattress to figure out how difficult (or easy) it is to get the mattress from the box to the bed. Then, we spend time laying on the bed in different positions, taking time to assess it on our backs, stomachs, and sides. Next, we perform our Sleepopolis tests, using specialized tools to measure qualities like motion transfer, bounce, and pressure relief. Our last step is to open up the mattress and take a look at each layer. These steps allow us to give our final verdict on the mattress.
