Bed-in-a-box company Purple announced this week that its popular mattress line had officially arrived in select Chicago-area Mattress Firm locations.
The innovative bedding sold by Purple is flourishing. Its fun marketing strategies and focus on unique mattress technology has kept demand nice and high within its online consumer channel — but this success has only inspired Purple to expand. The self-proclaimed “world’s first no pressure mattress” is now available in 30 Chicago stores and will soon be expanding to Phoenix and the Bay Area.
The people at Purple and Mattress Firm think a blended channel approach can only increase consumer interest in what is already considered to be an intriguing mattress design. As Purple CEO Terry Pearce said: “We’re excited to add more brick-and-mortar locations to our growing list and give Chicago the opportunity to experience Purple firsthand.”
Mattress Firm has grown into the largest specialty mattress retailer in America, so it makes sense that the popular Purple brand would expand into its territory. After it launched Purple products on the online platform, Mattress Firm’s North Central Divisional President Mike Dzura could tell that consumers were looking for Purple wherever they could find it. So, Purple and Mattress Firm decided to make the search a little easier for sleepers.
“We are committed to helping guests find their best night’s sleep at the best value, and our convenient locations and a wide variety of the latest products allow us to do that,” explained Durza.
Chicago’s new Purple spots will showcase its newest generation of mattresses in addition to the original Purple mattress. Every location will include mattresses featuring the company’s signature, super-durable Hyper-Elastic Polymer®, and some models will employ support coils designed to compliment Purple’s special comfort technology. Not sure which Purple mattress is best suited to your sleeping style? Well, if you’re in the Chicago area, go test them out and see for yourself!
We at Sleepopolis are excited to see where Purple will pop up next! For more information on the brand’s comfort technology, check out our detailed review of Purple’s new mattresses.
