Weighted blankets are some of the most popular relaxation and sleep products out there. Many people find them comforting and anxiety-relieving, thanks to the Deep Pressure Therapy they can provide, which can calm your nervous system before bed.
But which weighted blanket is the best weighted blanket for you? There are a lot of options out there and I’ve tested quite a few of them. However, in this review I’ll be deep diving on the Gravity Ombre weighted blanket, which features a cover with a pretty blend of colors that’s fairly unique in the weighted blanket world.
I’ve tested the original Gravity weighted blanket, so I’m excited to see how this one stacks up to the original, which I loved. I’ll go over what this blanket is made of, how it feels, and who it is best suited for. Short on time? Skip ahead for a review summary.

Weighted blankets can be made with a wide variety of materials. Let’s take a closer look at the materials used in this weighted blanket for a better sense of how it feels and functions.
Outer Cover: The outer cover of the Gravity Ombre weighted blanket is made from 100 percent cotton with a 300-thread count. This cover can be unzipped and removed from the inner blanket to be washed.
Shell: The shell of the inner blanket is also made from 100 percent cotton. This shell holds the fill of the blanket and features gridded stitching to keep the fill evenly distributed.
Fill: The fill of the Gravity Ombre weighted blanket is a mix of glass beads (91 percent), polyester fiber (five percent), and polyester fiber batting fill (four percent). The glass beads are what give the blanket its weight.
How Much Does the Gravity Ombre Weighted Blanket Weigh?
The Gravity Ombre weighted blanket is available in just one weight option: 15 pounds.
When choosing a weighted blanket, the rule of thumb is to pick one that is close to 10 percent of your own body weight. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, then a 15-pound blanket would be the best for you.

I found the Gravity Ombre weighted blanket quite comfortable. The duvet cover has a much more crisp and smooth feel, unlike the fuzzy original Gravity blanket, and I felt like the weight distribution was very even. I also felt quite warm under the blanket, which was nice and cozy.
This could be a good option for sleepers who don’t like a fluffy or velvety texture for their blankets, as it is overall very similar to the original Gravity (which I think is a fantastic weighted blanket), just with a different feel to the cover.
Is the Gravity Ombre Weighted Blanket Good for Hot Sleepers?
I did not find the Gravity Ombre weighted blanket to be particularly cooling — in fact, I actually felt quite warm lying under it. It probably isn’t the best cooling weighted blanket, but I think it would be great for anyone who wants a weighted blanket to keep them warm and cozy.

Is the Gravity Ombre Weighted Blanket Good for You?
With all that in mind, let’s go over who I recommend the Gravity Ombre weighted blanket to, as well as some complaints.
Who Should Try the Gravity Ombre Weighted Blanket
- If you want a weighted blanket with a unique look, I think this blanket’s ombre cover should appeal to you. I think it looks really pretty and would work well in a variety of different bedrooms. It also comes in a few nice color options.
- If you prefer a smoother blanket, as opposed to fuzzy or fluffy, this blanket’s cotton cover should work well for you.
- If you want a weighted blanket with a washable cover, this is a great choice for you, as the cover is machine washable.
Gravity Ombre Weighted Blanket Complaints
- If you want a blanket in a weight other than 15 pounds, this won’t work for you. It is available in just one weight option, which is 15 pounds.
- If you want a weighted blanket to share, this one isn’t quite large enough to accommodate two people — it’s more of a single size blanket.
- If you want a cooling weighted blanket, this also isn’t the best choice for you. I found it to be quite warm, so you may experience overheating if you are a hot sleeper.
