Main Similarities
- Both lines are made up of popular luxury bed-in-a-box mattresses that come with DreamCloud’s signature cashmere blended cover, contouring foam, and gel memory foam.
- The two lines mirror each other and have the same naming convention, just in hybrid or all-foam versions. Both lines contain the DreamCloud Original mattress, the DreamCloud Premiere, and the DreamCloud Premier Rest.
- For the most part, all of these beds provide either a medium-firm feel or fall slightly more to the firm side on the firmness scale. All of these beds do feel sturdy and supportive, but still feel slightly plush and cloud-like.

By now, you should have a good overview of how each line differs from the other. Now, it’s time to tell you how these bad boys feel as well as how they perform. To start, we’re going to check out their firmness level.
At Sleepopolis, we understand that every body is different, and because of that, every sleeper is different. There are many factors that affect how someone sleeps including their body shape, size, and weight. To ensure we’re doing a diverse evaluation, I gathered multiple colleagues to test the bed with me. We each share our personal firmness ratings with one another to find the bed’s average firmness rating.
We rate firmness on a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 indicates the softest possible feel and 10 denotes the firmest. The industry standard for medium firmness is 6.5 out of 10.
Our team ranked both lines a 7 on average for firmness, and found that these beds strike a nice balance between pressure relief, comfort, and support. These beds offer sleepers gentle cushioning up top, as well as provide some firm bounce in the bed’s core.
Let’s see how these lines ranked individually on firmness.
DreamCloud Hybrid
Both the DreamCloud Original and DreamCloud Premier in the hybrid line received a firmness rating of 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale, which means these two hybrid mattresses are both slightly firmer than average. The DreamCloud Premier Rest is the only mattress in the hybrid line that ranked a 6.5 out of 10, which is medium-firm. The DreamCloud hybrid beds provide sleepers with a nice balance of pressure relief and support from the blend of foam and coils.
These mattresses offer gentle cushioning up top thanks to the breathable cashmere cover, allowing sleepers to feel minimum sinkage. There is also some firm bounce in the bed’s core due to the coils, which help provide the body with that extra support and “lift” while you are sleeping. The DreamCloud hybrid mattresses are a great pick for back sleepers, especially since they are slightly on the firmer side and can help provide much-needed support for your spine.
DreamCloud Memory Foam
DreamCloud’s memory foam beds also averaged a combined score of 7 out of 10, meaning that these beds are also firmer than the industry average. This was surprising to me as all-foam beds tend to sometimes offer less support to the back and lumbar spine when compared to their hybrid counterparts, however, all of the beds in this line were still rather firm. When laying on these mattresses, I felt like I was able to stay “on top” of the bed instead of feeling like I was slowly sinking into the bed, which can sometimes happen with foam mattresses.
However, there were some differences across the specific models in this line: the DreamCloud Memory Foam mattress scored 7.5 which is quite firm, the DreamCloud Premier Memory Foam scored a 7 for firmness, which is slightly firmer than average. Finally, the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam scored a 6.5 in our firmness test.This is important for you to know if you are interested in having an all-foam bed that offers the combination of firmness and comfort.
The most interesting score out of all the beds was the DreamCloud Memory Foam. It was rated more firm than any of DreamCloud’s hybrid mattresses.
DreamCloud Memory Foam vs. DreamCloud Hybrid: Construction & Materials Used
Now that we’ve compared the main similarities and differences between the two lines, let’s focus on the construction of each of these beds. By dissecting each mattress’s construction and looking at the materials used, we are able to get a better understanding of how well a bed may feel and perform. I’ll start off with the DreamCloud hybrids.
DreamCloud Hybrid Construction Specs
DreamCloud’s cover is made with a special cashmere blend, which is soft to the touch while providing a luxurious cozy feel. The cover is quilted with foam to add more plushness to the mattress. However, don’t forget that the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam, in both hybrid and foam versions, is the only bed that offers the Euro top cover. Then there is a layer of pressure-relieving, gel-infused memory foam, which provides a slow response to pressure and uses gel infusions to draw heat away from the body to ensure cooling.
All of the hybrid mattresses contain a tall section of individually-wrapped coils. This springy layer offers a lot of bounce, firmness, and support to the bed. These coils also help to provide edge support, which is important when you are lying on or around the edge of the mattress. For the base, DreamCloud uses CertiPUR-US® Certified standard foam to provide structure for the layers on top.
DreamCloud Memory Foam Construction Specs
DreamCloud’s cover is made with the brand’s staple cashmere blend which is quilted with foam in the outline of a cloud pattern, highlighting the brand’s name, to provide a combination of durability and softness. The DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam, in both hybrid and foam versions, is the brand’s most luxurious model and is the only bed that offers the Euro top cover.
All of the memory foam mattresses contain 3-inch layers of therapeutic gel memory foam, gel foam, and standard foam, which helps absorb movement to aid with motion isolation while you rest. The DreamCloud Memory Foam beds contain polyurethane foam to help distribute body weight evenly while encouraging proper spinal alignment.
Instead of offering individually wrapped coils as the hybrid mattresses do, DreamCloud’s all-foam line uses CertiPUR-US® Certified standard gel foam that helps distribute body weight evenly throughout the mattress as well as keeping the spine in alignment. This layer also acts as the DreamCloud’s Memory Foam’s base layer, which supports the overall structure integrity of the mattress.

Now we’re going to break down these lines even further and highlight the differences between each mattress individually and compare it to its direct counterpart.
Starting us off is DreamCloud’s Original Mattress vs DreamCloud’s Memory Foam Mattress.
The DreamCloud Original mattress is the flagship product for the brand, as well as the least expensive out of the three beds in both lines. This 12-inch tall mattress is considered to be the brand’s best value bed.
DreamCloud Original Hybrid Mattress
Firmness: This bed ranked 7 out of 10 on Sleepopolis’ firmness scale. This means the DreamCloud original mattress is a little firmer than average.
Motion Isolation: This bed ranked a 3.5 out of 5 on the motion transfer scale, which means this bed provides average motion transfer. If you share a bed with a partner, you will probably feel them getting in and out of the bed, however, you shouldn’t be too bothered by smaller movements.
Edge Support: This bed ranked a 3.5 out of 5 for edge support. Edge support refers to a bed’s ability to bear weight around its perimeter. Edge support is also a good indicator of durability. This mattress has pretty good edge support, thanks to the pocketed coils. This is important for those who may have mobility issues and need that extra support when coming in and out of bed.
Pressure Relief: The plushier foam in the upper layer does a nice job of relieving pressure for back sleepers, while side sleepers may feel a small amount of pressure in their shoulders or hips.
Cooling: This bed scored a 4 out of 5 for cooling. Beds with cooling properties may appeal to hot sleepers as well as couples sharing the bed. The wrapped coils and the bed’s gel infusions give the mattress plenty of breathability.

Firmness: This ranked 7.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale. Compared to 6.5, our standard for medium-firm,the DreamCloud’s score indicates it is quite firmer than average, which is unique for an all-foam bed.
Motion Isolation: This bed ranked 4.5 out of 5 for motion isolation, which is a great score. This bed will be good for someone who doesn’t want to be disturbed by their restless partner or furry friend at night.
Edge Support: This bed scored a perfect a 5 out of 5 for edge support — which is excellent! There was very little sinkage in the mattress while I was sitting on it and almost none when I laid on it. Our testers even tried laying halfway off of the bed and still felt like the bed’s edge was supporting our body weight and was quite comfortable, even when I and the other testers were laying almost off of the bed.
Pressure Relief: This bed did an excellent job at providing little to no pressure buildup while I and the other testers laid on our backs, however, the side wasn’t as impressive. There was definite noticeable pressure buildup on our shoulders when I and the other testers were laying on our shoulders. It wasn’t uncomfortable but definitely something side sleepers just be aware of.
Cooling: This bed scored a 4 out of 5 for cooling. All-foam beds are notorious for trapping heat, causing the sleeper to wake up in a sweat. However, this bed did a good job at promoting airflow.

The DreamCloud Premier mattress is a 13-inch tall mattress that is considered to be the best value out of all the brand’s beds. The Premier beds are also the most popular of the three for DreamCloud customers.
DreamCloud Premier Hybrid Mattress
Firmness: This bed ranked 7 out of 10 on our firmness scale, so the hybrid version of the DreamCloud Premier is just a bit firmer than medium-firm. The coils provide good support to the bed while the plushness and gentleness of the foams balance out the construction.
Motion Isolation: This bed ranked 4 out of 5 for motion isolation. The memory foam did a good job at preventing motion transfer so this could be a decent option for couples to consider.
Edge Support: This bed ranked 4 out of 5 for edge support. The pocketed coils and the memory foam provide decent edge support, which helps prevent the sinking you may sometimes feel when sitting at the edge of certain beds.
Pressure Relief: The gentle foams in the top layer of the bed performed well in supporting our testers’ backs and lumbar regions, while the coils helped keep their backs in neutral alignment. There was some definite pressure buildup in the shoulders while our testers laid on their sides, which may impact how sleepers feel during the night.
Cooling: This bed ranked 4 out of 5 for cooling. This bed didn’t offer any specific cooling technology, however, the coils in the support layer of the bed do provide added breathability and promote airflow.

DreamCloud Premier Memory Foam Mattress
Firmness: This bed ranked 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale. People who tend to prefer all-foam beds usually like the plushness feeling they get when lying on one. I felt like this bed provided good support to my back and spine, while still offering that cushiony “sleeping on a cloud” feeling that foam-bed lovers prefer.
Motion Isolation: This bed ranked 2.5 out of 5, showing poor motion transfer. If your partner tosses and turns a lot throughout the night, this bed might not be the best pick for you because you will feel every movement they make.
Edge Support: This bed ranked 4 out of 5 for edge support. I felt like this bed provided solid edge support when I was laying on its edge, however, I did feel like I was going to slip off a few times when I was sitting on the edge.
Pressure Relief: The memory foam does a great job of offering comfort and support for back sleepers, but this bed may still be a tad too firm for side sleepers. Our tests clocked a small amount of pressure buildup in the hips and shoulders.
Cooling: This bed ranked 3.5 out of 5 in cooling, which is average for cooling properties. This is a better ranking than I initially thought the bed was going to earn since foam beds tend to trap heat more compared to other types.

Finally, we’re going to compare the DreamCloud Premier Rest to its all-foam counterpart, the DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam.
The DreamCloud Premier Rest is a 14-inch tall mattress that is considered the most premium value out of all of DreamCloud’s beds. This is the only mattress that comes with a luxurious Euro top cooling cover. This is also the most expensive mattress in either line.
DreamCloud Premier Rest Hybrid Mattress
Firmness: This bed ranked 6.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale. This rating is standard for medium-firm, which holds true since the top layers provide a nice pressure-relieving feel but our tester still felt supported when laying on the coils.
Motion Isolation: This bed ranked 3 out of 5 for motion isolation. These aren’t poor results by any means, but if you share a bed with a partner,, there’s a good chance you may feel each other tossing and turning in the middle of the night.

Firmness: This bed ranked 6.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale. It has a medium-firm feel and is definitely softer than the DreamCloud Memory Foam due to the Euro top cover. This bed has a softer feel when compared to all of the other mattresses in the foam line.
Motion Isolation: This bed ranked 3.5 out of 5 on motion transfer, which indicates average motion transfer. Couples will definitely feel their partner coming in and out of bed, but shouldn’t be impacted by smaller, more subtle movements.
Edge Support: This bed ranked 3 out of 5 on edge support. I did notice a fair amount of sinkage when I was sitting on the edge and it did feel as if it was collapsing under me. I felt more supported by the bed when lying on the edge.
Pressure Relief: There was almost no pressure while I was sleeping on my back, which indicates this may be a good choice for those who suffer from back pain. There was only a slight pressure buildup on my shoulders, but I still felt quite comfortable on my side.
Cooling: This bed received a 4.5 out of 5 for its cooling properties, which is a great score. This Euro top cover provides additional cooling to the bed and helps promote airflow for the all-foam mattress.

Which DreamCloud Mattress Is Best for You?
Back Sleepers — I think back sleepers will be happy with almost every one of these mattresses as these beds are firm enough, yet soft enough, to provide the back and spine with support without sacrificing comfort.
Side Sleepers — Some side sleepers may do okay on the DreamCloud or Premier models depending on whether they have hip and joint pain, but overall the DreamCloud Premier Rest and DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam are going to be the best options for these sleepers. The added Euro top provides pressure relief while contouring to your body and joints.
Stomach Sleepers — Lightweight and average weight stomach sleepers could be comfortable on the DreamCloud or DreamCloud Premier, both foam and hybrid versions, as they are firm enough to keep the hips lifted up to maintain spinal alignment.
Combination Sleepers — All three of the DreamCloud hybrid mattresses scored amazingly on our responsiveness test and provide sleepers with enough bounce to make it easy for them to switch between sleeping positions. The DreamCloud Premier Rest Memory Foam felt the most responsive out of all of the foam mattresses.
Heavy Sleepers — Heavy sleepers who weigh 250 pounds or more tend to need more support when they are lying down on their backs to ensure proper spinal alignment and comfort. All of the DreamClouds offer a good amount of firmness, however, we think that the hybrid models should offer proper support for heavier sleepers, compared to its foam counterparts.

Can you flip a DreamCloud mattress?
We suggest that you don’t flip your DreamCloud mattress because then you’ll end up sleeping on the support layer and not the layers of foam on the top. However, you can rotate the mattress 180 degrees to prevent sagging.
Where does DreamCloud ship? How much is shipping?
DreamCloud offers free shipping to the contiguous United States. They do ship to customers in Alaska and Hawaii but an additional $250 is added per large item ordered. DreamCloud does not ship to Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, etc.
