This set was my introduction to linen sheet sets and still holds up against a lot of the other products I have tested during my time at Sleepopolis. So far, the material and stitching are probably the most durable I have ever seen in a sheet set. I have washed them several times, and they improve and feel more comfortable with each wash. In other words, this was an easy 5-star score to give out in the materials category.

When it comes to temperature regulation, I gave this sheet set a 4 because it is extremely good at keeping you warm and retaining heat during the colder months.

That said, I would not use these in the summer unless I have the airconditioning on full blast. I don’t think they’re stuffy because they are still relatively lightweight, but I wouldn’t use the word breathable to describe them either. I would not say this sheet set is cooling in any way.

Where the Washed European Linen Core Sheet Set really shines, however, is in the fit category, which I gave another perfect 5 out of 5. These are the best-fitting Brooklinen sheets I’ve tested so far. They envelop my 14.5-inch Titan Plus Elite mattress perfectly with some room to spare.

Unlike some of the other sheets I’ve tested, they also don’t scrunch up, become lopsided, or fall off at the corners. I can toss and turn freely without worrying about my mattress being exposed.

The only area where these sheets faltered for me was in price; these are nice sheets, but $359 full price and even $305.15 while marked down seems steep. They are quite cozy and look fantastic, but I’m not sure they are worth the full price of admission.

While testing these sheets, they exceeded expectations across nearly every category, earning a 4 out of 5 or higher in fit, materials, and price.

Fit is one of my biggest dealbreakers with sheets. For me, nothing disrupts my sleep faster than corners popping off or fabric bunching underneath me. The good news is this set stayed securely in place on my 14.5-inch mattress throughout the night, even with movement. The only drawbacks I noticed were that the sheets felt stiff straight out of the package and showed noticeable wrinkling after the first few dryer cycles. However, they softened significantly after a few nights of use, and the wrinkles became less pronounced with continued washing (typical behavior for high-quality percale that improves over time).
