Best Sheets for the Money
Now, remember folks: There is a big wide world of bedding out there, and these are just seven sheet sets that we think offer the best value. That being said, we chose them because they each feature exceptional quality and craftsmanship, and fall within a price point that is particularly reasonable relative to the specific materials used.
How do you determine the value of a sheet set, you ask? Well, listed below is our methodology:
- Durability – Simply put, some fabrics are just superior in quality. So, we aim for bedding that advertises long fibers, or is derived from materials that we know are extra durable. For example, bamboo fibers have a reputation for being extra strong, so it can be worth paying a little extra as you know bamboo-bedding will last me a long time.
- Research – Not sure which materials are most durable? Researching a fabric before you begin your shopping journey is a great way to prepare. The more you know about a specific fabric, the better equipped you will be to fine-tune your search.
- Compare Prices – Yes, most higher quality fabrics come with a higher price tag. However, comparing prices across several different bedding brands is a smart way to get a base-line idea of the average cost of a sheet set. This way, you’ll know when a sheet set is a good value, and when it’s way overpriced.
Now that we have a good general sense of how to determine which set of sheets will give you the best value, let’s get into this bedding.
Best Overall Cotton Sheets – Luxome Luxury Sheet Set
LUXOME Luxury Sheet Set
The LUXOME Luxury sheet set are made from 100 percent bamboo viscose and offer a silky, smooth feel.
Sleepopolis Score
4.90 / 5
Here we have Luxome Luxury Sheet Set which, as the name suggests, creates an incredibly luxurious feel.
Egyptian cotton is widely considered to be a superior, luxurious type of cotton, and that’s what Luxome uses in their sheet set. This cotton employs extra-long staples, pretty much guaranteeing a boost in durability, softness, color retention, and overall quality. Additionally, Luxome’s sheet set utilizes bamboo viscose, creating a moisture-wicking and thermal-regulating fabric that’s beneficial to folks who sleep hot.
The quality materials and the cotton’s extra-long fibers tends to contribute to a higher price tag. But remember: It’s a better deal to invest in sheets that will maintain integrity for several years, than to spend less money on a sheet set you’ll have to replace in a few months.
Sheets made from Egyptian cotton are usually in the $200–$400 range, but Luxome’s are less expensive and, in our opinion, don’t sacrifice any quality.

Pricing: $135–$190, depending on size.

Best Organic Cotton Sheets – Saatva Organic Sateen Sheets
Saatva Organic Sateen Sheet Set
Saatva sheets are woven from 100 percent long-staple organic cotton into a 300 thread count, which is intended to offer a feel that’s soft, durable, and breathable.
Sleepopolis Score
5.00 / 5
Read Full ReviewNow, this sheet set is a bit pricier than the sets we’ve looked at so far, but it also offers a combination of traits that don’t often go together. This bedding is cooling, silky, breathable, and sateen woven. Typically, a sateen weave produces a sheet that’s thicker, heavier in weight, and less breathable. Because of this, it can be tough for sleepers who prefer sateen bedding (but also need help keeping cool) to find their perfect sheet set.
With the Saatva Organic Sateen sheet set, you’re getting the lustrous sheen and silky feel that sateen-lovers enjoy, while also getting the kind of cool breathability that’s characteristic of percale. Sleepers who love the cooling qualities of percale, but really want that silky-smooth sateen feel, should give this bedding a try.
Rest assured, these sheets are also made from long-staple cotton. So, you’re still getting the strong, soft, durability that comes from longer fibers. Additionally, the cotton used in these sheets is a product of Fair Trade manufacturing which means the farmers who harvest the cotton must be paid a living wage. And the sheets themselves are certified organic, so eco-friendly sleepers might be particularly compatible with Saatva’s sheets.

Pricing: $125–$215, depending on size.
Perfect for: The sateen-lover who needs help keeping cool, and prefers organic cotton.
Silkiest Feel – Layla Bamboo Sheets
Layla Bamboo Sheets
The Layla Bamboo sheet set is made from 100 percent viscose from bamboo. They have a delightfully soft, silky, and slinky feel.
Sleepopolis Score
4.50 / 5
Read Full ReviewDurability is a key factor to consider when you’re looking for bedding that’ll give you the most for your money. After all, the longer a sheet set lasts, the more use you’ll get out of it. And when it comes to durability, bamboo-based bedding is a very strong contender.
That’s why we chose the Layla Bamboo sheet set for this roundup; it’s made from 100 percent viscose from bamboo, which is known for its silky feel and superior strength. But it brings some other great perks to the game as well. For example, the Layla Bamboo sheet set is light, breathable, and ideal for sleepers who need help keeping cool at night.
Additionally, pure bamboo-based bedding like this is sustainably sourced, hypoallergenic, and naturally antimicrobial. So those looking to sleep green, or folks with sensitive skin, might be particularly compatible with this sheet set.
Not to mention, bamboo bedding does tend to come with a higher price tag (often starting at around $200), but Layla’s sheets comes in a wide range of sizes, starting at only $100 for a set. We can’t get enough of this bedding’s silky feel and lustrous sheen, but the fact that it also comes at a reasonable price point just sweetens the deal.
Think these sheets might be the right fit for you? Check out our full review of the Layla Bamboo sheet set to know for sure.
Pricing: $169–$209, depending on which size you choose.
Perfect for: Eco-conscious sleepers who want a little bit of luxury.

Best Sheets for Hot Sleepers – Brooklinen Classic Core
Brooklinen Classic Core Sheet Set
Woven with long-staple cotton, these Brooklinen Classic Core sheets are both soft and comfortable with a crisp feel — like a luxury brand at a more reasonable price.
Sleepopolis Score
4.50 / 5
Read Full ReviewHere we have another great example of 100 percent long-staple cotton sheets — the Classic Core sheet set from Brooklinen.
Now, you’re going to hear us repeat this again and again, but longer cotton fibers (commonly referred to as staples) produce a stronger, more durable sheet. So, when considering the best value for a set of sheets, it’s best to aim for sheets that are going to be the best long-term investment.
The long-staple cotton used in Brooklinen’s Classic Core Sheet Set does offers some great durability — but don’t mistake strength for weight. Yes, these sheets are built to last, but they’re also super lightweight and airy. They feature a very breathable percale weave, and they feel cool to the touch. This is a great pick for sleepers looking for a durable set of sheets that will also keep them cool throughout the night.
Something we like about these sheets is their crisp, hotel-bed feel. Percale woven sheets are already crisp in general, but these are definitely among the most crisp we’ve ever tested. And while we do think that a set of white cotton sheets is a bedroom essential, Brooklinen offers this sheet set in lots of different styles.
Check out our full review of the Brooklinen Classic Core sheets.
Pricing: $99–$149, depending on which size you choose.
Perfect for: Warm sleepers looking for that classic set of cotton percale bed sheets.
Best Bamboo Sheets – Cozy Earth Linen Bamboo Sheet Set
Cozy Earth Linen Sheet Set
The Cozy Earth Linen Sheet Set is a cooling, durable, and environmentally responsible accessory.
Sleepopolis Score
5.00 / 5
These sheets are made out of 70 percent viscose, derived from bamboo — a material that’s naturally breathable. The other 30 percent of these sheets is from linen, which is known for its durability, breathability, and soft feel. The result is the luxurious linen bamboo sheet set from Cozy Earth.
Bedding derived from bamboo brings all sorts of fabulous perks to the table, as the bamboo plant transfers its durability, moisture-wicking, and antimicrobial properties into the fabric. But one thing that almost always comes with bamboo-based sheets is extra vulnerability to wrinkles. So, the fact that these sheets seem impossible to wrinkle makes them pretty special in our book. There are two neutral color options to choose from, and each set includes the following for all sizes but split king: one top sheet, one fitted sheet, and two pillow shams.
For more, see our roundups of the best linen sheets and the best bamboo sheets.
Pricing: $339–$469, depending on size.
Perfect for: Sleepers who love the breathability of bamboo, but also want to enjoy linen’s durable and soft nature.
Best Linen Sheets – MagicLinen Sheets
MagicLinen Sheets Bedding
MagicLinen's sheets are made from 100 percent European flax and are available in a variety of colors.
Read Full ReviewAnd last but not least, we have the Woodrose Sheet Set from MagicLinen. This sheet set is made from 100 percent linen and offers a totally different look and feel compared to the rest of the sheets on this list.
If you’ve got a linen garment hanging in your closet, you might already be familiar with the distinctly coarse texture of this fabric. Linen fibers are thicker (compared to cotton, for example) and produce a stiffer yarn. Linen bedding offers a gently massaging quality that’s unique to this material.
However, this particular sheet set is stone washed. Stone washing is a textile manufacturing technique meant to give new fabrics a worn-in appearance by enhancing their softness and flexibility. In this case, the stone washing makes these sheets feel a little less coarse, and a little more soft and cozy. Additionally, they have a sort of casually lived-in, rustic aesthetic that I think is quite charming.
Now, linen itself has a reputation for bringing some pretty cool advantages to the table. Not only is it considered to be one of the most breathable and durable fabrics on the market, it’s also thermoregulating. Essentially, that means that linen adapts to your body’s temperature. For example, if you’re warm, the linen will help wick moisture and dissipate your body’s heat. Conversely, if you’re cold, linen fabric works as a great insulator.
Thanks to these thermoregulating properties, linen sheets are great for year-round use. So, while linen bedding does tend to be on the pricier side, it offers a unique look and feel, and is built to last a good, long while.
See the full performance of these sheets in our MagicLinen review.
Pricing: $209–$309, but sleepers have the option to buy bedding as a bundle, or individual items.
Perfect for: The linen-lover who wants to see what stone washed softness is all about.
Final Thoughts
Well, those are our top picks for the best sheets for your money. But even if you don’t find any of these sheet sets to be ideal for you, there are a few key points I hope you take away from this review:
- Pay close attention to the durability and overall quality of the materials used. Remember — the longer the fibers, the stronger the fabric.
- Invest in bedding that’s going to bring you comfort for years to come. Spending $30 on a sheet set seems like a good idea until you have to replace it in a few months.
- Research materials. Fabrics like linen, bamboo, and superior brands of cotton each bring their own special set of perks to the bedroom.
- Compare prices. If you’re not sure what a certain material is typically valued at, you might be more likely to fall into an overpriced trap.
