Giveaway Details & Rules

We’re giving away one (1) brand new Amerisleep Liberty mattress. The Amerisleep Liberty is a 12″ advanced memory foam mattress. One grand prize winner will be randomly selected and win one (1) new Amerisleep Liberty mattress in their preferred size (Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King; excludes Split King).

  • Duration: The giveaway starts today, 11/14/16 and ends 11/29/16 at 11:59 PM PST.
  • Grand Prize: One (1) grand prize winner will be randomly chosen based on the pool of entries. The winner will win one (1) Amerisleep Liberty mattress in their preferred size.
  • Entries: No purchase necessary to enter. You may enter once for each entry method defined above in the Gleam giveaway widget. Only entries verified through the Gleam voting widget above will be counted.
  • Winner: One (1) grand prize winner will be randomly chosen based on the pool of entries. Winners will have 24 hours to respond by email. Non-response will result in disqualification and a new winner will be selected. Winners must provide a US mailing address, email address, and phone number to be able to claim their prize. Winner will be announced via the Gleam widget, sleepopolis.com, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media. Winner’s first name, last initial, and public thumbnail picture (that’s included in Gleam) will be included in the winner’s announcement.
  • Eligibility: US residents only. Must reside within the continental US. Must be 18 or older to enter.

  1. Thank you for the excellent website! We have an opportunity to replace our old IKEA spring mattress with the Ameirsleep Americana (their firmest mattress) for a very, very good price. Would the Americana in combination with our existing Tempurpedic 3″ memory foam topper be good for a 250lb+ stomach sleeper? Your expert advice will be much appreciated.

      Thank you for your kind words!

      The Americana could indeed be an excellent choice. That said, you will want to be sure you’re a fan of the firmer feel, which creates less of that dramatic hug and more of a floating feeling. Additionally, I typically don’t recommend adding a topper to a new mattress unless it is truly needed, but in your case it sounds as if the topper could create that level of hug and pressure relief you want while the Americana offers great support and that firmer feel.

      Based on the information you’ve shared, you will not be disappointed with the Americana, in my opinion.

  2. Hi, Sleepopolis. Ive noticed you have been quiet since the beginning of the year. I hope all is ok. I am searching for a king mattress, and am almost settled on the Purple, with their bed frame. However, on another site, it mentioned it had bottomed out at one point. It did not mention what was done to do that.
    I am 5’3″ and 200 lb, and have fibromyalgia and arthritis in my neck, mid, and lower back. I move many times a night, and although I start on my side, usually wake up on my stomach.I like being warm because of the fibro, and usually sleep on a fleece blanket to reflect back body heat. My husband is 5’6″ and 200 lbs, has some lower back issues and neck pain from working at a desk and computer most of the day. He is a back sleeper, and usually hot. We have been sleeping on a medium innerspring mattress with a memory foam top to which we eventually added a four inch memory foam topper.
    So, I am now looking for an all foam mattress. Since beginning this search, I have been focusing on a medium 6 feel. Although I was caught by the Purple website, I have watched reviews on youtube, and am now not sure if another mattress would do better. I guess I can always buy the Purple frame, which I really like for the storage.

      Based on the information you’ve provided, I would recommend taking a look at the Loom & Leaf, Leesa, and Amerisleep Revere. All 3 of these are excellent choices and certainly at the top of my list.

      The only concern remaining is the other 175b combo sleeper who sometimes sleeps on their side. Do you think this set-up would accommodate occasional side sleeping as well as it does the 250lb stomach sleeper?

      With regards to the side sleeper question, I do believe this setup would work for them as well. The pressure relief is there from the topper as well as the support from the Americana. As a lighter sleeper, this setup will act in a similar manner as compared to the stomach sleeper.

  13. Sounds like a wonderful mattress, and we could certainly use it! We have been sleeping on our current mattress for 18 years; I am starting to suffer back problems and my wife is undergoing cancer treatments.

  14. After using Sleepopolis to become more informed about this mattress, I have to say, this is definitely one of the mattresses I have been dreaming about. With illness, disability, and inability to get anything else — it wouldn’t come at a better time. Would definitely be better than just the pillows I have been piling up as a makeshift bed lately.

    I wish everyone good luck, though, after reading the comments — I know there is many people here that could use this and probably deserve this. So good luck and happy and safe holidays early given.
