Puffy Cloud vs Leesa: Which is Better for You?
The Puffy Cloud mattress is a cloud-like foam mattress that can help with pain relief, while the Leesa Original Mattress is an all-foam bed with a bouncier and more responsive feel. No two sleepers are exactly the same. Your primary sleep position and your body type are two important factors that can determine how well you sleep on different mattresses. The mattress that works well for one person may be a painful experience for another.Who Should Buy Puffy

- If you’re someone who often wakes up with aches and pains, the Puffy Cloud may be a good option. It was specifically designed to alleviate pain around pressure points and conform to your body.
- The combination of pressure relief and soft support may make the Puffy Cloud a good choice for back sleepers.
- If you’re shopping for kids, the Puffy Cloud could be what you’re looking for. The cover is stain resistant, and the mattress itself is cushioning and supportive for lightweight sleepers.

Puffy Cloud Mattress

The Puffy Cloud is an all-foam bed-in-a-box with a medium firmness that is great for a wide range of sleepers. It also does a good job of reducing aches and pains, thanks to its balance of support and pressure relief.

I love this mattress. I wake up rested and with energy. Before I was sleeping on a traditional mattress and I would wake up 3 to 4 times at night trying to find the right spot. I don’t weak up in middle of the night. It was worth every penny!!!

Puffy Cloud vs Leesa: Similarities and Differences
These mattresses are very similar in both their materials and feels, so similar sleepers may enjoy both mattresses. However, there are some key differences between the two that could be the reason you choose one over the other.Main Similarities
- These mattresses have very similar firmness ratings, with the Puffy Cloud being a 6 out of 10 on the firmness scale and the Leesa being a 5 out of 10. Our standard for medium-firmness is 6.5, so these are both softer mattresses.
- Both these mattresses should be beneficial for back sleepers to ensure proper spinal alignment.
- These beds are both made entirely of foam, meaning neither is made with springs or coils.
Main Differences
- Puffy offers a lifetime warranty on this mattress, while Leesa offers a 10-year warranty.
- The Puffy Cloud mattress offers better motion isolation than the Leesa, so it may be better suited for someone who sleeps with a partner or a pet.
- The Leesa is more responsive than the Puffy Cloud, which makes it a better mattress for sex and for combination sleepers who switch positions throughout the night.
Puffy Cloud and Leesa Mattress Feel Comparison
When testing out a mattress, the feel is probably the first thing you’ll notice. In this section, I’ll go over how these mattresses perform in firmness, pressure relief, motion isolation, responsiveness, cooling, and edge support. Here at Sleepopolis, we rate firmness on a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 is the softest and 10 is the firmest. We use 6.5 as the standard for a medium-firm feel and assess the firmness and feel of a bed by lying on it in different positions.Puffy Cloud
The Puffy Cloud gets a 6 out of 10 on the firmness scale, meaning it is a bit softer than average. Upon initially laying down, you should notice the mattress feels super soft, then will likely soon notice it has great sinkage as you lie on it. This is perfect for anyone who prefers to feel like they’re in the bed instead of on the bed.

Leesa
The Leesa Original mattress ranks at 5.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale, which makes it a soft mattress. This mattress is similar in feel to the Puffy Cloud, but the Leesa will have more of a doughy, cushiony feel. Sleepers who suffer from back pain should feel some instant pressure relief, especially if they are sleeping on their back.

Comparing What it’s Like to Sleep on the Puffy Cloud and the Leesa
Your preferred sleeping position and body weight are the two most important factors in determining if a mattress is right for you. A mattress can feel very different depending on these variables.Puffy Cloud
Back — This position is likely the most comfortable way to sleep on the Puffy Cloud. It provides both spinal support and pressure relief at the lower back, hips, and shoulders. Side — Side sleepers should find they get nice sinkage on the Puffy Cloud and get some nice pressure relief from the Gel Cloud comfort layer. Stomach — This mattress isn’t quite firm enough for stomach sleepers, who may find they develop back pain as their hips sink in and their spine is out of alignment. Body Weight — We generally wouldn’t recommend this bed for anyone weighing over 250 pounds. It doesn’t have enough support to prevent these sleepers from sinking too far into the bed. A hybrid or innerspring mattress may be a better fit. Check out some of our favorites in our roundup of the best mattress for heavy people.Leesa
Back — Back sleepers should really like this bed. Most should find they have plenty of pressure relief and great spinal alignment. Side — Side sleepers weighing less than 130 pounds may find this mattress too firm to properly relieve shoulder pressure. This mattress could work for average weight sleepers (between 130 and 250 pounds), but they may find a bit of pressure building at the shoulder and hips. Stomach — Lightweight sleepers should be okay sleeping on their stomach, but average weight sleepers may find the bed is too soft to support their hips and keep their spine aligned. Body Weight — Like the Puffy Cloud, we don’t recommend this mattress for heavyweight sleepers. It doesn’t have the durability or lift these sleepers will need to be properly supported.Comparing Puffy Cloud and Leesa Prices
Many tend to use price points as the deciding factor when choosing between two mattresses. In this case, the pricing for these mattresses is pretty similar, but the Leesa is slightly cheaper. Prices listed will be before the discount or offer for each size. Be sure to check out our deals page to save a little extra.Size | Puffy | Leesa |

Comparing Puffy Cloud and Leesa Mattress Materials
Mattress materials are what determine the way a mattress feels and performs. You can learn more about the details of these mattresses in our full Puffy Cloud mattress review and Leesa mattress review, but I’ll do a brief breakdown of the constructions of these beds.Puffy Cloud
Cover – The cover is made from a polyester blend that is super soft and cozy. It’s also hypoallergenic and stain-resistant, which is nice for kids Comfort Layer – The top layer is the “Gel Cloud” comfort layer. This layer has cooling properties to help counteract the heat-trapping tendencies foam mattresses can sometimes have. This layer is super soft and lets you sink in, providing nice pressure relief. Transition Layer – This layer is the “Climate Comfort” layer, which is made of responsive poly foam. This will be a bit firmer than the above layer and provide a nice transition to the base layer below. Base Layer – The final layer is made of a high-density polyfoam to provide support and stability. This is a common material in bed-in-a-box mattresses.
Leesa
Cover– The Leesa cover is made of a twill fabric that is soft and breathable. The high thread count makes this cover both durable and wrinkle-resistant. Comfort Layer– This layer is two layers in one. It’s a 2-inch layer of breathable foam on top of a 2-inch layer of memory foam. The breathable layer adds responsiveness to the mattress and helps with cooling, both of which can get trapped in a memory foam mattress. The memory foam acts as a pain and pressure-reliever while also providing some body contouring. Foundation Layer– The mattress finishes with a 6-inch supportive foam layer. This support layer makes this mattress super durable.

Comparing Puffy and Leesa Customer Service
Buying a new mattress shouldn’t be stressful, and you should be getting the same stellar service online that you would expect in a store. We rate the customer service of brands based on our own experience with each customer service team. Brands can be rated either stellar, great, satisfactory, or poor.Puffy Sleepopolis Customer Service Rating
Stellar: I found Puffy’s customer service to be stellar. I always like to start by testing out a company’s customer service chat line. Immediately, I was connected with a real Puffy representative — not a robot. I usually like to ask “Do you offer free shipping?” as the standard question. My Puffy representative responded quickly and politely and provided accurate information. I extended our conversation further by asking “Does this extend to Hawaii and Alaska?” Again, I got a clear and detailed answer in less than a minute. In addition to its chat feature, Puffy also offers customer support via telephone and email. Their contact page has a message box for easy email sending. Their FAQ page is extremely extensive and covers almost any question you may have. There are even separate pages just for financing and tracking your order.Leesa Sleepopolis Customer Service Rating
Stellar: I also rated Leesa’s customer service as stellar. Like usual, I first tried out Leesa’s chat feature. It gave me the option to choose if I wanted to talk to a live person or if I just had a general question. I chose to talk to a real person and was connected to a Leesa representative within minutes. I began by asking “Do you offer free shipping?” My representative responded promptly and provided accurate information about their shipping policy. She even gave me additional details about their white glove service fee. I followed up with a question about Hawaii and Alaska shipping and again was given a speedy and polite response. Leesa customer service can also be reached through email, call, or text. Leesa also has a FAQ page that provides more detailed information about all of their policies. In addition, they have three separate pages just covering returns, financing, and warranty policies.Comparing Other Models from Puffy and Leesa
