On the brand’s website, the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid boasts a near-perfect 4.7 out of 5 stars, backed by almost 12,000 reviews. But does it live up to the hype?
With no middleman and everything made and shipped directly from its Arizona factory, Brooklyn Bedding promises superior craftsmanship, but we’re here to put that claim to the test. The Signature Hybrid comes in three comfort levels (soft, medium, and firm) and promises top-of-the-line cooling and support. In this review, we’re going to peel back its layers (literally) and see if it lives up to the promises.
We’ve been testing mattresses and sleep products since 2014 and have helped 60,108 people (and 15,622 in 2024 alone) find a new mattress. Our rigorous review methodology helps us provide accurate recommendations. In total, our expert testers and certified sleep science coaches have tested more than 330 beds in our studio to help sleepers find the best mattress for their sleep needs, body types, and comfort preferences.
When developing our methodology, we also work closely with a network of medical professionals to punch up our advice. Our chief medical advisor, Dr. Raj Dasgupta MD, FACP, FCCP, FAASM, was especially crucial to ensuring accuracy and non-bias throughout our testing process.
Read on to see how the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid performed in categories such as motion isolation, responsiveness, and more.
The Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid mattress combines a foam comfort layer and sturdy coils. This combination of materials makes it bouncy and easy to move around on. It comes in three firmness levels, and we recommend the Medium model for most back sleepers. It’s a great choice for shoppers who are looking for a new mattress on a budget. For more information, check out our video review.
What our tester says:
“Given that the Signature Hybrid has some excellent bounce, I’d highly recommend this mattress for combination sleepers who often change positions multiple times throughout the night. I also think the Signature Hybrid could be a great fit for couples. You shouldn’t be overly disturbed by a restless partner on this bed, and it has nice, firm edge support.” – Nichole Mondshein, lead reviewer and staff writer
Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Mattress Overview
Brooklyn Bedding is an online mattress company that was founded in 1999. The Arizona-based company hit its stride around 2008 when it began selling its first bed-in-a-box mattress. Since then, Brooklyn Bedding has grown into one of the most popular brands currently on the market, with a product line that includes mattresses, pillows, sheets, and foundations.
The Signature Hybrid includes layers of both foam and coils in its construction. This mattress comes in three different firmness levels (Soft, Medium, and Firm), helping every sleeper find the right fit for them. In general, it’s supportive and sleeps fairly cool, both of which make the Signature Hybrid a strong choice for back sleepers and couples.

Check out our video review of the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid to get a closer look at its construction. In this video, our mattress testers break down our methodology and provide you with a closer look at how the Signature Hybrid performed in each category. Note that we recently retested the mattress, so some of the scores in the video might not match up with the most recent ones in our written review.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Mattress Value
To determine if a mattress is “worth it,” we consider the quality of its materials and performance across categories like edge support and customer experience. At $1,332 for a queen-sized mattress, the Signature Hybrid is priced fairly for its durable materials and rock-solid performance in edge support and cooling.
The Signature Hybrid features a combination of premium foams and individually wrapped coils that provide excellent support and facilitate airflow. The mattress also uses CertiPUR-US certified foams, meaning it is free from harmful chemicals. Overall, I think the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid is a solid choice for folks seeking a long-lasting mattress without a ridiculous price tag.

The 12.25-inch Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid has sturdy, CertiPUR-US-certified foams and pocketed coils. This combination of bouncy foam materials and coils creates a buoyant structure — one that could be especially well-suited for those in need of a little extra support.
Now that you know about the nuts and bolts of the Signature Hybrid, let’s talk about how it feels. I typically kick things off with mattress firmness because it’s one of the best indicators for whether or not a mattress will feel comfortable to someone.
“A mattress that is too firm or soft for your sleeping position will likely lead to pressure points and chronic pain,” explains Dr. Dasgupta. “It’s important to buy a mattress that has the firmness you find most comfortable based on your sleeping position, weight and lifestyle.”
To get a better idea of how firm the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid is, my fellow mattress testers of different body weights and preferred sleeping positions lay on the mattress and settled on a firmness level rating.

Brooklyn Bedding offers the Signature Hybrid in several firmness options. I’m reviewing the Medium model today, but depending on what you’re looking for, you may want to opt for the Soft or Firm model of this bed.
My fellow mattress testers and I gave the Signature Hybrid a 6.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale. The industry standard for most mattresses is 6.5, or medium firm.
While lying on the Signature Hybrid, my spine felt supported and lifted and I could feel the memory foam layers fill out my lower lumbar area. Similarly, I didn’t feel any pressure buildup on my side and thought it did a good job of conforming to my hips and shoulders in the side-sleeping position.
Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Mattress Performance
Because how a bed feels is mostly subjective, we always run rigorous tests on our mattresses to offer a more objective view of the mattress. This includes testing for motion transfer, cooling, pressure relief, and more. These tests help us determine whom a certain bed will (and won’t) work best for. Keep reading to see how the Signature Hybrid fared on some of these evaluations.
Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Pressure Relief Performance
My fellow mattress testers and I assess pressure relief to determine how well a bed relieves pain and eases tension at pressure points, including the hips, shoulders, and back. People who suffer from aches and pains in these areas need to sleep on a mattress that provides good pressure relief.
As Dr. Dasgupta explains, “If your mattress doesn’t offer enough pressure relief, has low-quality materials, or isn’t the right firmness level, it can lead to poor spinal alignment, increased pain, and disrupted sleep.”
I test pressure relief with my team using a specialized mat that we roll onto the mattress surface and then lie on in the side- and back-sleeping positions. This mat uses thermal imaging to identify areas of pressure buildup in the body and translates those results into an easy-to-read graphic. This graphic displays low-pressure areas as blue and green. Meanwhile, areas of pressure buildup appear yellow and red. Sleepers in all three weight categories typically experience pressure relief differently. For example, what might feel soft to heavier sleepers will likely feel a lot firmer to lightweight sleepers.

We invited an average-weight tester, lightweight tester, and a heavyweight tester into the studio to test pressure relief on the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid. After combining the overall pressure relief scores for back and side sleeping, we found an average score of 3.2 out of 5.
Our average-weight tester, Sosha Lewis, says she felt most comfortable on her side. Her average pressure in pounds per square inch (PSI) was 13.43, which is a little higher than the overall average PSI of 14.9 for side sleepers.
“I really like this mattress on my side,” Sosha said. “It’s soft enough that I can feel the contouring on my hips and ankles. I think this is a very solid mattress for pressure relief. My spine feels mostly aligned with no major dips in this position.”

However, she wasn’t as comfortable on her back. “It’s not a dramatic difference, but my spine doesn’t feel as supported on my back,” she said. “I can feel the middle of my body dipping down more. However, it does feel better on my shoulders and my upper back.”
Conversely, our lightweight tester, Asha Birjah, preferred the Signature Hybrid on her back. Her average PSI in the back-sleeping position was 10.79, which is much lower than the overall average of 15.1. When she lay on her side, we saw her PSI increase to 13.26, which isn’t uncommon for sleepers with lighter bodies. Strict side sleepers in this weight category usually need something even softer than medium-firm to get the cushioning and deep contouring they need around their joints.

“I wasn’t a fan of this mattress on my side, but my back feels much better,” she said. “My hips feel slightly lifted compared to the rest of my body, and I don’t feel any pressure on my lower back.”
Our heavyweight tester, Caine Wilkes, had a higher average PSI in both positions, at 17.64 for side sleeping and 14.38 for back sleeping. While lying on his back, he said, “It feels okay in this position. I feel like my hips are sinking in more. My shoulders and lower back feel okay. However, it feels like my shoulders are sinking in more than the rest of my body.”
Surprisingly, he enjoyed how this mattress felt on his side, despite his PSI being much higher than the average in this position.
“The side of my body feels pretty good,” he said. “I feel supported throughout my body and my hips feel aligned with my spine. There’s a little bit of pressure around my shoulders and neck, but I don’t feel uncomfortable. I would give this a 4.5 out of 5.”

Based on our testers’ results, I would recommend this mattress to most average-weight sleepers, lightweight stomach and back sleepers, and heavier sleepers who prefer a softer mattress.
Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Motion Isolation
Motion transfer measures how much movement travels from one side of the mattress to the other. This is especially crucial for anyone who shares their bed with a partner or pet. My fellow mattress testers and I evaluated the motion isolation of the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid using two tests: the ripple test and the partner test.
During the ripple test, one of our mattress testers gets on the bed next to a bin full of water and rolls around to see how much the liquid sloshes. For the partner test, two mattress testers lie next to each other. One wears a blindfold while the other moves around. The blindfolded tester raises their thumb whenever they can feel movement.

There was noticeable splashing in the container full of water while shifting between different positions during this test. However, the ripple throughout the container was not as bad while getting in and out of bed.
During the partner test, I could feel my colleague, Livvi DiCicco, jump in and out of bed. While she was changing positions, I couldn’t really tell what she was doing which is a good sign most sleepers won’t be disturbed by minor tossing and turning. However, if you’re sensitive to movement or have a partner who frequently gets in and out of bed at night, you’ll likely find that the Signature Hybrid’s motion-dampening capabilities are lacking. Overall, we gave it a 3.7 out of 5 for motion isolation, meaning that it’s about average.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Responsiveness
Assessing a mattress’s responsiveness helps us understand how fast it regains its shape after adding weight and pressure. Hybrid and innerspring mattresses typically bounce back quickly, while memory foam mattresses take longer to return to their original form. Responsiveness is especially important for combination sleepers or those who shift positions often throughout the night because it makes transitioning between different sleeping positions easier.
I gave the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Bedding a 3 out of 5 in this category, meaning it’s about average. The following are the tests I used to get to this number.
Switch test: For the switch test, I lay on the mattress and observed how difficult or easy it was to switch between positions. It was more challenging to move from my back to my stomach but easier to move onto my side from either position. The top layers of this mattress feel softer, so when you apply pressure while moving from your back to your stomach, it sinks in a little more. Combination sleepers will likely have to put in more effort to move from their backs onto their stomachs.

Sinkage test: For this test, we placed a 53-pound kettlebell onto the mattress and used a ruler to measure how many inches it sank in. We measured 4.25 inches of sinkage on the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid, which is higher than the 3.25-inch average, placing it in the deep sinkage category. To clarify, light sinkage is up to 2.5 inches, moderate sinkage ranges from 2.6 to 4 inches, and deep sinkage is 4.1 inches and up.
Bounce test: Finally, the bounce test helps us measure how springy a mattress is. For this test, I climbed a ladder 6 feet above the mattress and dropped a 25-pound steel ball onto it. A yardstick on the wall allowed me to see how high the ball bounced. The ball bounced 16 inches on this mattress, which is just a bit higher than the overall average of 15.8 inches, and places the Signature Hybrid in the high bounce category. For context, low bounce is anything under 8 inches, moderate bounce ranges from 8 to 12 inches, and high bounce is over 12 inches.
Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Cooling
When it comes to cooling, we usually consider a mattress’s construction first. As a hybrid mattress, the Signature Hybrid includes coils that encourage airflow and breathability, making it a decent pick for hot sleepers and couples alike.
“Hybrid and innerspring mattresses are better at promoting airflow,” explains Dr. Shelby Harris, one of our medical advisors. “These models help circulate body heat for a better night’s sleep.”
However, if you usually tend to sleep extra-hot, you can add an optional cooling pillow top to the Signature Hybrid for an additional fee of $400 before any promotions.
After performing the cooling tests below, we gave the Signature Hybrid a near-perfect 4.5 rating, making it an excellent option for anyone who sleeps hot.
Thermal gun test: I used a thermal gun to record the mattress’s temperature before lying on it. Next, I rested on it for 5 minutes and measured the temperature again. If the temperature increases by fewer than 5 degrees, I consider it excellent cooling. An increase of 5 to 10 degrees indicates good cooling, 10 to 15 degrees indicates decent cooling, and more than 15 degrees indicates poor cooling.

I recorded an increase of 6 degrees on the Signature Hybrid, meaning it has solid temperature regulation. Based on these results, I think this mattress should work for most sleeper types without the additional cooling top. However, if you tend to wake up covered in sweat, I would recommend splurging on the extra cooling cover or looking into one of our best cooling mattresses for hot sleepers.
Cover test: For this test, I touched the surface of the mattress and observed whether it felt cool to the touch when lying down. In my experience, I thought the Signature Hybrid’s cover was soft and breathable, but it didn’t feel particularly crisp.
My fellow tester Livvi agreed with me, saying, “I didn’t feel any noticeable heating up as I lay on the bed, but I also didn’t feel it actively cooling me. I’d say the cover kept the temperature of the Signature Hybrid pretty neutral.”
Feel test: During the thermal gun test, I also paid attention to my body temperature and whether I could feel the Signature Hybrid mattress warming up. I didn’t feel it heat up too much while testing it. However, after getting off the bed and feeling where I had been lying, it was apparent that someone was on it.
Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Edge Support
I assess edge support to determine how sturdy a bed’s perimeter is. Better edge support lets you lie and sit on the edges and corners of your mattress without its layers collapsing too much beneath you. Edge support is crucial for couples, people with bigger bodies, or those who enjoy spreading across the bed surface. It can also be an indicator of durability, as a mattress with sturdy sides is less prone to sagging over time. I gave the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid a 4.25 out of 5 overall in this category, meaning it has great edge support.
Tape measure test: This test involved stacking weights on top of each other directly on the edge of the bed. I then repeated this process three times with my fellow mattress testers using three weight stacks — a 99-pound stack, a 154-pound stack, and a 198-pound stack. Next, I used a tape measure to measure the sinkage.
This test simulates how much the perimeter of a mattress might sink when sleepers in various weight categories sit or lie on the edge. The 99-pound stack represents lightweight sleepers, while the 154-pound and 198-pound stacks represent average-weight and heavyweight sleepers, respectively.
We found that the results ranged from 2.5 inches for the lightest stack (representing lighter sleepers) to 3.5 inches for the average-weight stack and up to 4 inches for the heaviest stack. These measurements help us gauge how the mattress edge performs across different body types.
Seated test: For this test, my fellow testers and I sat on the side of the mattress and stood up several times. During this test, I found it easy to get in and out of bed on the Signature Hybrid. I expected more sinkage from the quilted cover and soft memory foam layers, but I felt strong support throughout, and I didn’t need to bear down on the mattress to stand up.

Livvi shared my opinion, saying, “I didn’t need to use my hands while getting in and out of this bed. There’s a bit of sinkage, but not enough to make me feel like I’m slipping or sliding. I think it should work well for seniors and folks with mobility concerns.”
Full body test: This test is just like the seated test, except instead of sitting, I lay directly on the edge of the bed in different sleeping positions. Both Livvi and I thought the Signature Hybrid performed well here. I felt some slight sinkage on my back, but did not feel like I was falling off at any point.
Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Mattress Performance For Couples
I think the Signature Hybrid will please a lot of couples. Thanks to its superior cooling performance and strong edge support, hot sleepers and couples who sprawl out to the far reaches of the bed should love this mattress.
However, I wouldn’t recommend this mattress to couples who enjoy a super bouncy mattress for sex or light sleepers who are easily disturbed. The Signature Hybrid’s responsiveness and motion isolation are only about average, meaning these sleepers should look for a mattress with higher ratings in those categories.
Other Performance Factors to Consider
My fellow mattress testers and I covered a lot of ground on testing day, but there are still a few things you should consider before you trade in your old mattress for the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid.
Sex
Responsiveness can also be used to determine if a mattress is good for sex. The best mattresses for sex should offer couples plenty of bounce for easy maneuverability. Unfortunately, the Signature Hybrid’s responsiveness is less than stellar, meaning it probably isn’t the best choice for sexually active couples looking to prioritize this in their choice of a new mattress.
Noise
If you’re sensitive to noise, the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid is a frontrunner in this category. I couldn’t hear a peep out of it while moving around on it for our tests.
Base Compatibility
The mattress doesn’t fit well on the adjustable base at all. My fellow mattress testers noticed a huge gap at the fold of our base. The stiffness of the coils prevents the mattress from folding at all, even when lying on it. In other words, this mattress probably isn’t the best fit for your adjustable base.
Durability
To find a bed’s durability score, our testers average the edge support, materials, and warranty scores. Edge support is a durability indicator because strong support systems can prevent premature sagging. High-quality materials also last longer than cheap materials, and the mattress’s warranty can provide further insight into how long the company expects the mattress to last.
With 4.3-star support and edge support, 5-star materials, and a 5-star warranty, the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid has a final durability score of 4.8 out of 5. In my opinion, the Signature Hybrid mattress should last 10 years or more of everyday use.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Sleeping Position and Body Weight
Body weight plays a significant role in how a mattress feels. As Dr. Harris explains, “People with less body weight will likely find that a mattress is firmer than those who are heavier.”
Typically, lighter individuals perceive mattresses as firmer than those of average or heavier weight. To provide accurate recommendations, our team includes mattress testers from all three weight categories. Testers from each group assess every mattress in three different sleeping positions. This method ensures we offer personalized recommendations based on body weight and sleeping preferences.
Before we dive into our recommendations, though, we want to recognize that people come in all shapes and sizes, and people of every size deserve a mattress that works for their body type. We use the weight categories light, average, and heavy to more easily categorize sleepers based on how mattresses will perform for their body type, as most mattresses are designed for the group we call “average” (130 to 230 pounds).
As a general takeaway, lighter sleepers don’t require as much support as average-weight sleepers, and mattresses will tend to feel firmer to them. On the other hand, heavy sleepers tend to need more support than average-weight sleepers and tend to sink into the mattress more. As far as sleeping positions go, side sleepers tend to need a softer mattress, while stomach sleepers usually need a firmer, more supportive one. Back sleepers are usually somewhere in the middle.
Is the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid a Good Mattress for Light Sleepers (Under 130 pounds)?
- Light Back Sleepers – I think the medium-firm feel of the Signature Hybrid could work quite well for light back sleepers who prefer to sleep on a firmer mattress.
- Light Side Sleepers – These sleepers might need a mattress that offers more pressure relief around their sensitive joints. If you’re looking for more of a plush feel, I’d recommend opting for the Soft model of the Signature Hybrid, or you might check out our roundup of the best soft mattresses instead.
- Light Stomach Sleepers – Lightweight stomach sleepers who prefer a firmer bed should feel comfortable on the Signature Hybrid. It should provide enough support to keep their hips lifted up in line with their shoulders, promoting a healthy spinal alignment.

Is the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid a Good Mattress for Average-Weight Sleepers (130–230 pounds)?
- Average-Weight Back Sleepers – These sleepers should feel comfortable and supported on the Signature Hybrid, thanks to its Ascension support system with durable innerspring coils.
- Average-Weight Side Sleepers – Side sleepers should rest comfortably on this mattress, especially if they’re wanting more of a balanced feel. However, if you‘re looking for a mattress with extra pressure relief around the shoulders and hips, I’d recommend opting for the Soft model of the Signature Hybrid.
- Average-Weight Stomach Sleepers – The firm lift that the Signature Hybrid provides should keep these sleepers’ spines in a fairly healthy alignment, but their hips may sink too far into this bed’s foam layers. To combat this, I’d recommend opting for the Firm model of this mattress, just to be safe.
Is the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid a Good Mattress for Heavy Sleepers (over 230 pounds)?
- Heavy Back Sleepers – These sleepers should receive a strong balance of support and pressure relief on the Signature Hybrid, as this mattress should feel softer to them than it does to lighter sleepers.
- Heavy Side Sleepers – Heavy side sleepers could also like the Signature Hybrid, as they should receive a little bit more sinkage around their shoulders and hips than other sleepers.
- Heavy Stomach Sleepers – This mattress is not supportive enough for heavy stomach sleepers. I’d recommend they check out the Brooklyn Bedding Titan Luxe instead.

My Final Thoughts About the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Mattress
While I can’t tell you if the Signature Hybrid mattress is right for your individual needs and preferences, I can offer a few final thoughts to help you decide.
Who I Recommend the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid For
- Hot sleepers will appreciate the Signature Hybrid’s breathable cover layer and tall innerspring coils that facilitate air circulation. If you get extra-hot at night, you can opt to get Brooklyn Bedding’s cooling pillow top sewn on at an additional cost.
- Back sleepers who like an “on top” feel to their bed should also be able to sleep comfortably on the Signature Hybrid.
- Thanks to its robust edge support, I recommend the Signature Hybrid to folks with mobility concerns. These individuals should get enough support from the innerspring coils to bear down on the perimeter of the mattress and get up in the morning.

Who I Don’t Recommend the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid For
- Given that the Signature Hybrid doesn’t have much bounce, I wouldn’t recommend this mattress for combination sleepers who often change positions multiple times throughout the night.
- Strict stomach sleepers may need a firmer mattress than the Signature Hybrid can provide. I’d recommend either choosing the Firm model of the Signature Hybrid or checking out the Brooklyn Bedding Plank mattress. These sleepers could also take a look at our picks for the best firm mattresses.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid vs Competitors
Now, you should be familiar with how the Signature Hybrid performs across multiple categories. However, you might still want to know how it compares to other mattresses currently on the market. I’ve compared the Signature Hybrid to a few similar mattresses from competing brands below.
Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid vs DreamCloud Premier
Both the Signature Hybrid and the DreamCloud Premier are hybrid mattresses, so their constructions include layers of foam and coils. The DreamCloud Premier did score slightly higher on our firmness level ranking, coming in at a 7 out of 10, while we rated the Signature Hybrid a 6.5 on this same scale.
- Price: The DreamCloud Premier is slightly more expensive than the Signature Hybrid. A queen-sized Signature Hybrid costs around $1,332, while a queen-sized DreamCloud Premier costs around $1,832. If you’re a budget-conscious shopper, you might want to stick with the Signature Hybrid.
- Sleeping position: Both the Signature Hybrid and the DreamCloud Premier are going to work best for back sleepers and side sleepers. While the DreamCloud Premier could work for some average-weight stomach sleepers, these customers are probably still going to want to opt for a firmer bed.
- Cooling: While both of these mattresses include breathable coils in their construction, the DreamCloud Premier does retain more body heat, which made it feel slightly hotter to our mattress testers. Hot sleepers are probably going to want to stick with the Signature Hybrid.
- Body weight: The DreamCloud Premier and the Signature Hybrid both work well for heavier (those over 230 pounds) back and side sleepers. However, neither one of these mattresses is going to be firm enough for heavyweight stomach sleepers.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid vs Helix Midnight
The Signature Hybrid and the Helix Midnight are both hybrid mattresses, so they include layers of foam and coils in their construction. However, the Helix Midnight is definitely the softer and plusher mattress of these two, while the Signature Hybrid is a tad firmer and more supportive.
- Price: The Signature Hybrid and Helix Midnight are the same price, with the queen-sized versions of both beds costing $1,332.
- Sleeping position: The Helix Midnight did score slightly lower on our firmness scale, coming in at a 6, while the Signature Hybrid scored a 6.5 on this same scale. Because of this, strict side sleepers will probably want to opt for the plusher Helix Midnight, while back and side sleepers might want to stick with the firmer Signature Hybrid.
- Cooling: The Helix Midnight and the Signature Hybrid both include coils in their constructions, adding some breathability and airflow to these beds during the night. However, the Signature Hybrid performed better on our cooling tests.
- Body weight: The Helix Midnight is not going to be supportive enough for heavy sleepers (those over 230 pounds) in any position. The Signature Hybrid should work for heavyweight side and back sleepers, but it is also not supportive enough for heavyweight stomach sleepers.

Other Models from Brooklyn Bedding
So, we’ve seen how the Signature Hybrid fares against other popular mattress brands, but how does it hold up against other Brooklyn Bedding mattresses? Find out below.
Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid vs Titan Plus
The Titan Plus was specifically designed to work well for sleepers over 250 pounds, providing a combination of deep compression and durability. This means that the Titan Plus is much firmer than the Signature Hybrid, making it a good choice for stomach sleepers and back sleepers who prefer a firmer feel.
- Price: A queen-sized Signature Hybrid is more expensive, coming in at around $1,332. A queen-sized Titan Plus is $1,249.
- Sleeping position: Because the Titan Plus is designed with heavier sleepers in mind, it is much firmer than the Signature Hybrid. The Titan Plus scored a 7.5 on our firmness scale, while the Signature Hybrid scored a 6.5 on the same scale. With these scores, the Titan Plus is most likely going to be the better option for stomach sleepers, and the Signature Hybrid is going to be the better choice for back sleepers. In general, neither one of these beds is going to be the best pick for strict side sleepers.
- Cooling: Both mattresses sleep fairly cool because of all the springs used in their constructions. If you tend to overheat during the night, or if you sleep with a partner, I would recommend opting for the Signature Hybrid with the additional cooling pillow top.
- Body weight: The Titan Plus was specifically designed with heavier sleepers in mind, so it’s probably going to be the better pick for these customers. While the Signature Hybrid could work for some heavy back and side sleepers, the Titan Plus works for heavy sleepers in all positions.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid vs CopperFlex Memory Foam
The Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Memory Foam is an all-foam bed. We tested the Medium and rated it 7.5 out of 10, meaning it’s a bit firmer than the Signature Hybrid.
- Price: The Signature Hybrid is the more expensive bed, with a price of $1,332 for a queen mattress. Meanwhile, the CopperFlex starts at just $665 before any discounts.
- Sleeping position: The CopperFlex memory foam is the better pick for stomach sleeping, but it’s probably too firm for strict side sleepers. Back sleepers should fare well on either mattress
- Cooling: Both beds earned 4 stars or more for cooling, but the Signature Hybrid contains coils that promote more airflow.
- Body weight: Heavy back sleepers can enjoy either mattress. Heavy side sleepers are better suited to the Signature Hybrid, while the CopperFlex is better for heavy stomach sleepers.

Our Review Process
At Sleepopolis, our team of certified sleep science coaches personally test each mattress. We start by unboxing the mattress to figure out how difficult (or easy) it is to get the mattress from the box to the bed. Then, we spend time lying on the bed in different positions, taking time to assess it on our backs, stomachs, and sides. Next, we perform our Sleepopolis tests, using specialized tools to measure qualities like motion transfer, bounce, and pressure relief. Our last step is to open up the mattress and take a look at each layer. These steps allow us to give our final verdict on the mattress.
