Just like clothes don’t work as one-size-fits-all, neither do pillows. How comfortable a pillow is for you depends on your sleeping position, body type, whether you sleep hot, and so on — not to mention other factors like personal preference and budget. Let’s go over who I think will like the Cozy Earth Silk pillow and who should consider another pillow.
Who should try the Cozy Earth Silk Pillow
- If you are a stomach sleeper, I think the Cozy Earth Silk pillow is a great option for you. It is soft, low-lofted, and compressive, so you shouldn’t experience any neck strain.
- If you are a hot sleeper, you will likely love how cool this pillow sleeps, thanks to the combination of bamboo fabric and silk fill.
- If you love a soft, plush pillow, the feel of the Cozy Earth Silk pillow should really appeal to you.
Who should not try the Cozy Earth Silk Pillow
- If you are a side sleeper, this pillow is probably too soft to offer you the neck support you need. Check out some of our best pillows for side sleepers instead.

What Does the Cozy Earth Silk Pillow Feel Like?
I personally tested the Cozy Earth Silk pillow to evaluate its feel, but keep in mind feel is subjective and you may have a different experience than I did.
Cozy Earth Silk Pillow Firmness
At Sleepopolis, we rate pillows as either soft, medium, or firm. Each firmness is best suited for a different sleeping position to promote spinal alignment. For stomach sleepers, we recommend a soft pillow. For back sleepers, we recommend a medium pillow. And for side sleepers, we recommend a firm pillow.
The Cozy Earth Silk pillow has a soft feel. It is super plush, fluffy, and moldable. It feels very similar to a down pillow to me, but far less puffy. The cover also feels ultra-soft and smooth. I appreciate that you can shape and mold the pillow around you to get it exactly how you want.
Cozy Earth Silk Pillow Loft
Like firmness, we recommend a different loft, or height, for each sleeping position. For stomach sleepers, we recommend a low loft. For back sleepers, we recommend a medium loft. And for side sleepers, we recommend a high loft.
The Cozy Earth Silk pillow has a low loft. It also compresses easily, so your head and neck sink in and the loft feels even lower than when the pillow is at its full height.
Side — I did not feel comfortable lying on my side with this pillow. It wasn’t lofty or firm enough to support my neck and I felt significant strain as my neck was dipping down from the lack of support. Overall, I think it’s just too soft for side sleeping. Back — I thought the Cozy Earth Silk pillow was comfortable for back sleeping. It is on the softer side, so if you like a slightly firmer feel, this may not be the best option for you, but I think back sleepers who like that softer feel can sleep comfortably on this pillow.
Stomach — The Cozy Earth Silk pillow is a great option for stomach sleepers. It’s super soft and compressive, so it won’t cause your neck to crane upwards as you sleep. I felt it allowed my head and neck to sink in and provided a fluffy, cozy feel without any strain.
Under the Arm — I found the Cozy Earth Silk pillow to be really cozy to sleep with under the arm. It’s soft, moldable, and huggable — all great qualities for this position.
Between the Legs — I also think the Cozy Earth Silk pillow works great for this position. It’s soft and compressive enough that it provides pressure relief for your legs and is low lofted enough that it keeps your hips aligned.

Shell: The outer shell of the Cozy Earth Silk pillow is made from 100 percent bamboo viscose. This bamboo fabric is derived from bamboo wood pulp and known for its temperature-regulation, silky softness, and hypoallergenic properties.
Fill: The fill of the Cozy Earth Silk pillow is 100 percent long-strand Mulberry silk.
This pillow is available in a standard and a king size. I tested the standard size for this review.
Is the Cozy Earth Silk Pillow Good for Hot Sleepers?
I think the Cozy Earth Silk pillow is a great option for hot sleepers! The combination of the bamboo fabric shell and silk filling makes for an ultra-cooling pillow. Bamboo is great at regulating temperature, so it won’t heat up with your body temperature. Plus, it’s also great for moisture-wicking, meaning if you get the night sweats, the fabric won’t absorb the moisture and it will evaporate quickly.
Silk is a highly breathable material because it is a natural fiber derived from silkworms’ cocoons. That means the silk filling will allow for lots of airflow within the pillow and hot air won’t be trapped and cause you to overheat.
I found the Cozy Earth Silk pillow to feel quite cool as I tested it out. I didn’t notice it warming up much as I laid on it and it maintained a very comfortable temperature.

My Final Thoughts About the Cozy Earth Silk Pillow
The Cozy Earth Silk pillow offers a soft, plush, and cooling feel. Its softer feel and low loft make it a great option for stomach sleepers, but it can also work for some back sleepers. Hot sleepers should appreciate the combination of bamboo and silk for a cool and comfortable sleep experience.
I don’t think it is the best pillow for side sleepers, as it is too soft to support their necks, which could lead to neck pain and discomfort. It’s also not the best option for budget shoppers or folks who want an easy-to-clean pillow, as it is not machine washable.
But overall, I think the Cozy Earth Silk pillow is a great luxury bedding option for those who are looking for a soft, cooling pillow.
