Before we dig into the details of this humidifier, here is a quick overview of who I think should try the Pure Enrichment MistAire Ultrasonic Cool Mist humidifier and who should consider buying a different humidifier.

Who Should Try the Pure Enrichment MistAire Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier

• If you have a smaller bedroom, you should appreciate this humidifier’s small size that won’t take up much tabletop or surface space in your room.
• If you want an optional nightlight, you will like that this humidifier has a nightlight feature that can easily be turned on or off.
• If you want control over the settings of your humidifier, you will probably like that this humidifier has two mist settings and a directional mist nozzle.

Who Shouldn’t Try the Pure Enrichment MistAire Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier

• If you have a very large bedroom, this little humidifier may not have the coverage to properly humidify your room.
• If you want to use essential oils with your humidifier, this isn’t a good match for you, as it is not compatible with essential oils.
• If you want a humidifier with dishwasher-safe components, this won’t be a good choice for you, as it does not have any dishwasher-safe pieces. But it is fairly simple to clean and comes with a cleaning brush!

Key Features of the Pure Enrichment MistAire Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier

Let’s take a look at some of the key features of the Pure Enrichment MistAire Ultrasonic Cool Mist humidifier.

This humidifier has a 1.7-liter tank, with a water tank cap on the underside. This cap unscrews so you can fill the tank with water. I will note from my experience testing this humidifier that this opening is quite small, so you have to be precise when holding the tank under a faucet in order to get the water directly into the opening.

On top of the tank is a mist nozzle that spins 360 degrees, allowing you to control the direction of the mist.

The tan rests on top of the base, which contains the ultrasonic disk that breaks the water into droplets which are emitted as mist, as well as a nightlight. The nightlight provides an optional blue glow — but if light bothers you, you can easily turn it off by pressing the control button on the front of the base. The control button also allows you to choose between two mist settings.

The plug adapter is detachable, plugging into the back of the base. Additionally, the Pure Enrichment MistAire has an auto-shut off feature, meaning it will automatically turn off when the water level is low. When the tank is full, this humidifier can run for 25 hours of continuous operation.

The Pure Enrichment MistAire humidifier also comes with a cleaning brush.

How To Use The Pure Enrichment MistAire Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier

Now let’s go over how to use the Pure Enrichment MistAire Ultrasonic Cool Mist humidifier. Before using the humidifier, be sure to read through the user manual for safety information and instructions the first time you use it.

Setting up the Pure Enrichment MistAire Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier

1. Place the humidifier on a firm, level, and waterproof surface at least six inches away from the wall. 
2. Remove the tank from the base and unscrew the tank cap.
3. Fill the tank with cool, clean water.
4. Screw the tank cap back on and firmly secure.
5. Replace the tank onto the base and plug in the humidifier.
6. Press the control button to turn on the humidifier:
   1. Press once for the low setting and nightlight off.
   2. Press twice for the low setting and nightlight on.
   3. Press three times for the high setting and nightlight on.
   4. Press four times for the high setting and nightlight off.
   5. Press five times to turn off both the mist and nightlight.

Cleaning the Pure Enrichment MistAire Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier

Cleaning is an important aspect of owning a Pure Enrichment MistAire Ultrasonic Cool Mist humidifier, as you are breathing in the mist it emits. Bacteria and mold can easily grow in a moist environment like a humidifier and you don’t want that to lower your bedroom air quality.

Here’s the recommended cleaning process from Pure Enrichment:

1. Unplug the humidifier and empty out any water from the tank and base.
2. Remove the mist nozzle and clean the mist tube with clean water.
3. Wipe the surface of the humidifier with a soft, damp cloth.
4. Use the provided disk cleaning brush to gently clean the ultrasonic disk and remove any buildup or deposits.

You can also descale using vinegar:

1. Fill the base with a mixture of one teaspoon of white vinegar and one teaspoon of water.
2. Let stand for five minutes.
3. With the vinegar solution still in the base, clean the interior of the base with the cleaning brush or soft cloth to remove mineral buildup.
4. Clean the mist nozzle and mist tube the same way if there is any buildup.
5. Rinse the base thoroughly with fresh water.

Curious how much this humidifier costs? It is currently available on Amazon for $39.99. Humidifiers can range widely in price, from as low as $20 to over $200 — I would say this is a great price for this humidifier, considering the features it has, like an optional nightlight and directional mist nozzle, that humidifiers of a similar price range don’t always offer.

My Final Thoughts About the Pure Enrichment MistAire Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier

The Pure Enrichment MistAire Ultrasonic Cool Mist humidifier is a great budget buy. This humidifier is under $40 but still offers a few great features, including an optional nightlight, two mist settings, a directional mist nozzle, and being easy to clean.

I also like that this humidifier is small in size, meaning it can fit into even the smallest of bedrooms to humidify dry air. It has a 1.7-liter tank capacity and a 25-hour run time. The humidifier provides up to 245 square feet of room coverage, so it should work for small to medium-sized rooms, but may not be the best option for sleepers with very large rooms.

While I like that the Pure Enrichment MistAire has multiple humidity levels and the ability to turn the nightlight on or off, I don’t love that both of these settings are controlled with the same button. It could lead to cycling through the settings to find exactly what you’re looking for, as opposed to separate controls.

Overall, I think this humidifier is a great option for a lot of different people, at an affordable price.
