Miracle Made Self-Cleaning Sheets Review (2025)

For those of us who dread laundry day and are constantly procrastinating our bed’s sheet rotation, Miracle Made Self-Cleaning sheets are designed to provide an easy solution. Miracle Made sheets blend the ultra-soft breathability of cotton with the antimicrobial and cooling benefits of conductive silver to help you get more comfortable sleep while reducing your laundry load. The sheets are not literally self-cleaning, but Miracle says they prevent bacterial or mildew buildup due to the silver-infused fabric design, which can result in three times less needed washing than typical sheet sets.

But those aren’t the only benefits we found when we put these supposed miracle sheets to the test. Our expert in-house tester also said that the Miracle brand sheets provided great cooling for hot sleepers, an easy and reliable fit for the bed (for those tired of the battle of placing baggy or unreliable sheets on their bed), and a satisfyingly hypoallergenic sleeping experience.

From mattresses to pillows, we at Sleepopolis have been testing and reviewing sleeping products since 2014 to help people improve their sleep according to their specific needs. Since the start, our certified sleep science coaches and expert testers have evaluated over 330 beds and countless sleep accessories, using a medically backed review methodology. Our research and testing have helped over 60,000 people (and counting) find the best additions to their bedrooms. Furthermore, we collaborate with medical professionals such as our chief medical advisor, Dr. Raj Dasgupta, MD, FACP, FCCP, FAASM, to ensure we present the most accurate and up-to-date advice on topics related to sleep health.

In this Miracle Sheets review, I break down the results of our testing, expert analysis, and my own research on the Miracle Made Self-Cleaning sheets to help you determine if these sheets are right for your bed.

Miracle Made Self-Cleaning Sheets Overview

Miracle Made Sheets are not self-cleaning to the extent that you never have to launder them, but with typical use, the brand says you can expect to wash them three times less often than you would regular sheets. This is due to the potential prevention of bacterial growth offered by the silver infused in these sateen sheets.

The blend is inspired by NASA’s uniform design, which incorporates silver ions for their purported antimicrobial benefits. There’s some science to support this: A 2011 preliminary study(1) conducted by researchers from NASA’s Johnson Space Center found that both silver and copper “have a high degree of biocompatibility, excellent resistance to sterilization, and broad spectrum antibacterial properties.” Further studies (2) report that cotton infused with silver shows significant reduction in bacterial growth while boosting antimicrobial properties and UV protection.

But to get out of space and back to the bedroom, this special fabric technology is designed to keep you cooler and drier. The sheets are made from high-quality 100-percent cotton, which means they are super breathable; however, according to our testers, they may take a little while to break in and get that super-soft, plush cotton feel.

Restless or combination sleepers should appreciate the reliably snug fit we found when testing out the Miracle Made sheets in our facility. Additionally, hot sleepers may find quality relief from their cooling features, which we found to actually get the job done.

After our expert in-house tester used our review methodology to assess the sheet’s durability, comfort, and general sleep-support features, she gave the Miracle Made sheets an overall rating of 4.25 out of 5. While not a perfect 5 for 5 score, she did conclude her testing with this high praise: “I would love to use these sheets in my personal rotation! I think they are worth the price, are durable, and still have a nice extra luxe feel to them.”

Miracle Made Self-Cleaning Sheets Materials

A better way to understand the Miracle Made sheets is that they are not self-cleaning, but rather self-preserving. The sheets are made from 100-percent breathable cotton infused with silver and have a 300-thread count. Silver is known for its antimicrobial properties, which, when blended with cotton sheets, may help prevent bacterial buildup over time, reducing the need to wash your sheets as frequently as regular sheets. Notably, the sheet’s parent company, Miracle Made, claims that its sheets can prevent “99.7 percent of bacteria growth,” as well.

According to our tester, the sheets were very durable when she tried them out. When she opened up the sheet’s packaging at our testing studio, she noted that, “There is no fraying or pulling on any corner or seam, and the sateen materials felt very durable.” Overall, she gave the sheets a 5 out of 5 for their durability. She also rated the feel and quality of the materials with a 4 out of 5 rating. “These sheets are soft,” she said. “hey are not as ‘luxe’ feeling as I would have thought for the price, but they are definitely better than your run-of-the-mill sateen sheet set.”

Moreover, Miracle Made Self-Cleaning sheets are OEKO-TEX certified, meaning they are made without the use of harmful substances such as heavy metals like lead or phthalates. Notably, to be OEKO-TEX certified, a product must undergo testing by an independent third-party to verify the validity of a company’s claims. This certification, in addition to the product’s antimicrobial properties, make it a great choice for people with sensitive skin seeking more hypoallergenic products.

Miracle Made Self-Cleaning Sheets Fit

Wrestling slippery or baggy sheets onto your bed after a wash is an annoying task I know all too well. That’s why we test a sheet’s fit. It’s important to always make sure that when you order new sheets, their size matches the model of your bed, whether you have a full, queen, or something bigger. However, it’s also important to ensure that a sheet can properly cover the height of your bed, especially if you’re using a mattress topper.

The Miracle Made sheets we tried are advertised to fit up to a 17″ tall mattress. Our tester tried out the sheets on a 12″ tall mattress and called it an exact fit. “These sheets say they fit up to 17″ mattresses, which made me think they would be too baggy on my 12″ mattress, but they fit perfectly!” she said. “There is great elasticity around the corners to hold the fitted sheet in place. I don’t know how well these sheets would do with a 17″ mattress, or if you have a high mattress topper, but they were great on my bed.” She ended up giving the sheets a 5 out of 5 for their fit.

She also noted that Miracle Made uses True Grip technology, which is essentially a patented term for having super-strong elastic and elasticized corners to help secure a consistently snug fit, regardless of a bed’s depth. Our tester found that this technology did the job, which is why I’d suggest that restless sleepers who tend to create tangled nests of their sheets take note of this. Additionally, this feature is great for people using adjustable beds or who want to use their Miracle Made sheets on a new mattress with a different height.

Miracle Made Self-Cleaning Sheets Temperature Regulation

According to Dr. Raj Dasgupta, if you tend to sleep hot, “Consider using sheets and bedding that are made of breathable and cooling materials.” Given its test results in these factors, Miracle Made Self-Cleaning sheets should be a good choice for hot sleepers.

The silver-infused cotton blend Miracle Made uses in its sheets is supposed to help dissipate body heat, as silver is a conductive metal that helps draw heat away from the body. After digging into some of the science, I found a published 2022 study(3) by scientists at the University of Donghua in Shanghai, China, which suggests that silver-infused fabrics can reflect infrared radiation and potentially dissipate body heat by reducing skin temperature.

Furthermore, Miracle Made uses CoolIT technology in its build, which allegedly enhances breathability and helps its sheets respond to moisture (such as night sweats) with sleep-friendly cooling.

While Miracle Made’s cooling sheets claims sound great, we had to put them to the test to confirm their validity. On a warm summer day, our tester assessed the sheets’ temperature-regulating abilities in our testing facility and was impressed. “I would say that these actively cool me down,” she said. “I run very hot, and especially in our testing facility, which is a nice 78 degrees in July, I was not warming up as I napped under the sheets. I can tell that the cooling technology is doing its job and I’d recommend these for people like me who run hot at night.”

Our tester gave the Miracle Made Self-Cleaning sheets a 4 out of 5 for their body temperature-regulating abilities. Ultimately she decided that Miracle Made’s claims aren’t just hype, and these sheets could really help those of us who struggle to fall asleep because we feel too warm.

Miracle Made Self-Cleaning Sheets Care

Apart from major accidents that call for an urgent laundry run, Miracle Made claims its Self-Cleaning sheets require three times less washing than typical non-silver-infused cotton sheets. However, when it does become time to clean them, the process is straightforward.

The sheets are machine-wash friendly, but for long-term use, Miracle Made suggests only using warm water and mild liquid detergents when washing them, and then tumble drying on a low heat setting. Miracle Made also recommends avoiding powder detergents, fabric softeners, and mixing clothes with zippers that could damage the fabric when washing them.

Miracle Made Self-Cleaning Sheets Value

“Your bedding plays a large part in creating a comfortable sleep environment,” says Dr. Raj Dasgupta. And while we should consider this fact, we also have to consider our budgets.

Our tester Riley enjoying the Miracle Made sheets at home.

A set of king-size Miracle Made Self-Cleaning sheets will cost you $235 (this includes two pillowcases, one fitted sheet, and one flat sheet).

I wouldn’t say this is cheap, but it’s also not very expensive when compared to the likes of Egyptian cotton sheets, without even factoring in the money you might save on reduced laundry.

Our tester considered the sheets’ value when trying them out and ultimately gave them a 3 out of 5. “These aren’t the most expensive sheets I have seen, and for the composition of the materials to make it self-cooling and self-cleaning, I believe the price justifies it,” she said. “They are not the softest sheets I’ve tested, but I think a wash or two would soften them up.”

Note that Miracle Made also charges a flat non-refundable $5.99 delivery fee, but offers free returns within the first 30 days of your purchase, which many sheet companies don’t.

My Final Thoughts About the Miracle Made Self-Cleaning Sheets

Below, I break down who I think these sheets would work best for and who may want to consider an alternative option. If these don’t sound like the best fit for you, check out our roundup of this year’s best sheets.

Who I Recommend the Miracle Made Sheets For

  • Restless sleepers: The efficient and snug elastic fit of the Miracle Made sheets should help keep them in place, even when you move around in your sleep.
  • Hot sleepers: People who struggle to sleep because they feel too hot should appreciate the cooling features built into the fabric of the Miracle sheets.
  • People without a laundry machine or who dread doing laundry: The antimicrobial and moisture-wicking features of the Miracle Made sheets should help prevent bacteria, microbes, or moisture buildup, and require less frequent washing.

Who I Don’t Recommend the Miracle Made Sheets For

  • Fans of super-soft sheets: Miracle Made sheets are not uncomfortably rough, but they’re not the softest sheets out there. They may become softer with use and washing over time. However, fans of super plush sheets may prefer a sheet designed specifically for this feel that arrives in such a way.
  • Budget-minded shoppers: While these sheets are potentially a long-term investment that can cut laundry costs and improve sleep quality, they are still a bit expensive when compared to some other traditional sheets.

Miracle Made Sheets vs. Competitors

If you’re still wondering what else is out there, we compared the Miracle Made Self-Cleaning sheets to other sheet set options available today.

Miracle Made Sheets vs Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheets

  • The Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheets are made with 100-percent bamboo viscose rather than silver-infused cotton.
  • Our testers found the Cozy Earth sheets to be a bit silkier and softer from the outset than Miracle Made, but they will likely require more washing cycles, which some customers have said may lead to pilling over time.
  • Both are quite breathable, hypoallergenic, and OEKO-TEX certified.
  • Cozy Earth only offers its Bamboo Sheets in a single white color while MIracle Made offers its sheets in an array of color options, including sky blue or sage green.
  • Those with super-tall mattress setups may prefer the deep pockets of the Cozy Earth bamboo sheets, as they work with beds up to 20 inches tall, rather than the 17-inch bed height compatible with Miracle Made Sheets.

  • Both Luxome Luxury and Miracle Made sheets are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, meaning they are both free of heavy metals and meet higher-standard manufacturing guidelines.
  • Luxome’s luxury sheet set is slightly cheaper than Miracle Made, costing $215 for a king-size set or $155 for a twin XL set.
  • Testers found that the Luxome Luxury set tended to wrinkle fairly easily.

Are Miracle Made sheets worth it?

I think Miracle Made sheets are worth it if you want to reduce your laundry load, are a restless sleeper, or are a hot sleeper who needs sheets that can help keep you cool. They are reasonably priced when compared to similar high-quality bed sheets. However, fans of super-soft sheets may want to consider other options like sateen sheets.

Miracle Made Sheets are designed in the USA but manufactured in India using materials sourced from Pakistan, India, and China.
