Bamboo is a popular material in many different bedding and sleep products, including the star of this review: the Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket. Nolah makes a variety of mattresses and bedding products — many of which we have reviewed here at Sleepopolis — so I’m excited to take a look at this weighted blanket.
I personally tested this blanket to assess how it feels and who it might be a good fit for. I’ll also go over what it is made of, prices and policies, and frequently asked questions in this review. If you just want the highlights, skip ahead for my review summary. Otherwise, let’s dive into it!

What is the Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket Made Of?
As the name implies, this weighted blanket utilizes bamboo as one of its materials. But what else is in there? There are many different materials used in weighted blankets, so let’s break down what all is in the Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket.
Cover: This blanket’s cover is 100 percent bamboo viscose, but each side has a different feel. One side of the cover is smooth and silky, while the other is fuzzy and fleece-like. The bamboo cover is also antimicrobial and hypoallergenic.
Fill: The Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket is filled with a mix of 95 percent glass beads and 5 percent polyester fiber batting fill. This blanket utilizes gridded stitching to ensure even weight distribution across the whole blanket.
The Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket is OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified. Additionally, the blanket comes with a carrying tote.
How Much Does the Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket Weigh?
The Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket is available in three weight options: 15, 20, and 25 pounds. The 15 and 20-pound blankets are 48 inches by 72 inches — a throw blanket size, which is typically big enough for one person. The 25-pound blanket is 80 inches by 87 inches, which is a king size.
When choosing a weighted blanket, it’s best to choose one that is close to 10 percent of your own body weight. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, then a 15-pound blanket would be ideal for you.
What Does the Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket Feel Like?
I found a lot to like about the Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket. First, I like the dual-sided bamboo fabric cover, which offers both a silky and fuzzy feel. The silkier side reminds me of many other bamboo sheets and bedding products I have tried — it feels soft, smooth, and almost slippery. However, the other side feels like fleece or flannel. I appreciate that you can flip the blanket over for a different feel, depending on how you are feeling.
I also really liked how the glass microbeads in this blanket are barely detectable. They feel extremely small and I couldn’t hear or feel them rolling around inside the blanket. I also found the weight distribution to be very even, thanks to the gridded stitching.
Is the Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket Good for Hot Sleepers?
I think the Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket is a decent option for hot sleepers. The bamboo cover helps with cooling, as bamboo is great for moisture wicking and temperature regulation. However, I wouldn’t say the blanket felt cool to the touch or particularly breathable. I felt overall temperature-neutral lying under the Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket — not cooled, but also not too warm.

How Durable is the Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket?
The Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket felt overall well-constructed to me. Having the quilted stitching should ensure the micro bead fill stays evenly distributed throughout the blanket, as the stitches keep the beads from bunching on one side of the blanket.
However, this weighted blanket is dry clean only. According to the care instructions, it should also be shaken and aired regularly.
Is the Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket Good for You?
Let’s summarize what we have discussed so far by going over who I think should try the Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket, as well as some complaints.
Who Should Try the Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket
- Hot sleepers should appreciate the moisture-wicking and temperature regulation offered by the soft bamboo cover of this weighted blanket.
- Those who want a blanket with barely noticeable beads will appreciate how small, quiet, and imperceptible the beads in the Nolah Weighted Bamboo blanket are.
- Sleepers with allergies should appreciate the antimicrobial and hypoallergenic materials used in this weighted blanket.
Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket Complaints
- If you want a machine washable weighted blanket, this won’t be the best option. Nolah recommends only dry cleaning this weighted blanket. It also doesn’t have a duvet cover that can be removed and washed separately.
- The Nolah Weighted Bamboo Blanket is only available in one color (white), which is more limiting style-wise.
- Sleepers looking for a weighted blanket heavier than 25 pounds will want to find another option, as that is the heaviest weight the Nolah is offered in.
