We’ve reviewed this pillow’s sibling in the past, the Nest Easy Breather pillow, and were quite impressed by it — so I’m excited to check out this natural option. Keep reading for my full review, or jump down to my review summary if you’re in a hurry.

Is the Nest Easy Breather Natural a Good Pillow for You?
Everyone is going to have different needs and wants from their pillow depending on their sleeping position and personal preference, so I want to start off with some quick recommendations on who I think may and may not like the Easy Breather Natural pillow.
Who should try the Nest Easy Breather Natural pillow
- Side sleepers and back sleepers should really like the Easy Breather Natural. This pillow will cushion their head and neck while still keeping their head lifted. I found it to be super comfortable sleeping in both these positions. Plus, you can adjust the filling to reach the best loft, or height, for you.
- Anyone looking for eco-friendly products should enjoy the Easy Breather Natural, as it’s made of organic cotton and natural latex.
- Hot sleepers should also check out the Easy Breather Natural. The organic materials from the inside out are naturally cooling, and the shredded fill promotes airflow throughout the pillow.
Who should not try the Nest Easy Breather Natural pillow
- I don’t think the Easy Breather Natural pillow is the best fit for stomach sleepers. Although these sleepers could remove some of the filling to get the pillow to their desired loft, I think that might not make it worth the money. Stomach sleepers tend to need a lower loft, so I’d take a look at our best pillows for stomach sleepers for other top picks.
- Sleepers looking for a classic down or feather pillow feel may find the Nest Easy Breather Natural to be a touch too firm for them and not have that desired light fluff texture.
- Budget shoppers may find this pillow to be out of their price range; however, it’s made with high-quality, durable materials and Nest Bedding often runs sales. Click our coupons throughout this article to save more too.
What Does the Nest Easy Breather Natural Pillow Feel Like?
Now let’s go over what this pillow feels like. In order to get an accurate idea of its true feel, I took it home and tested it out for several nights. Remember, feel is a little more subjective than some of the other qualities we test for, so you might have a different experience than I did based on our size and preferences. For reference, I’m about 5’ 4” tall and am a combination sleeper switching from my side to my back.
Nest Easy Breather Natural Pillow Firmness
Your sleeping position is one of the most important factors in determining what kind of pillow is best for you. Side sleepers tend to do best with a firmer feel, back sleepers with a medium feel, and stomach sleepers with a softer feel.
I thought the Easy Breather Natural pillow had a medium feel and again, it’s adjustable. I felt some nice sinkage with the shredded fill, but it still kept me really supported. The pillow molds nicely around your head and neck, so it stayed in a similar position throughout the night. However, it was also really easy to re-form and get into the shape I wanted when needed.
Overall, I think the Nest Easy Breather mimics some of my favorite qualities of both down pillows and memory foam pillows while maintaining its own distinct feel — it allows you to sink in a little and feel snug, but it doesn’t make you feel stuck.
Nest Easy Breather Natural Pillow Loft
Another factor you’ll want to think about when shopping for a new pillow is loft. A pillow’s loft is essentially the height and each sleeping position needs a different loft for proper spinal alignment. Side sleepers do best with higher loft, back sleepers with a medium loft, and stomach sleepers with a low loft.
As I’ve mentioned, the Easy Breather Natural is an adjustable pillow, so you can choose and adjust the loft of your liking. Nest Bedding will ship the pillow to be overstuffed with shredded foam fill, so you can remove as much as you want to get it to your preference. All you have to do is unzip the pillow and take it out by hand. It also will come with a bag to put that extra fill in.
With that in mind, here’s what I thought about the Easy Breather Natural pillow in different sleeping positions.
Side — I felt super comfy and cozy sleeping on the Easy Breather Natural pillow on my side. The pillow arrives fully stuffed with a high loft, so it doesn’t take too much adjustment to get it where you need it to be for side sleeping. I thought the foam fill did a great job keeping my head and neck cushioned, but also supported.
Back — I thought the Easy Breather Natural was also great for back sleeping. Its medium feel did a good job keeping my head elevated and helping maintain my spinal alignment, which is really important for preventing neck pain or back pain. I do recommend strict back sleepers lower the loft a little. Nest Bedding recommends taking out about a quarter of the latex foam fill.
Stomach — After removing a good amount of the fill, I did think this was a comfortable option for stomach sleeping. It allows you to sink in enough and maintain healthy sleep posture. The company recommends removing about a third of the fill for stomach sleeping, but some may need to remove more to keep their neck from craning. Because of this, I recommend checking out one of our favorite pillows for stomach sleepers instead so you don’t have to adjust the product so much.
Under the Arm — The Easy Breather Natural felt comfortable under my arms while sleeping. It’s easy to squish and snuggle up with.
Between the Legs — If you remove a decent amount of the fill, the Easy Breather Natural could be a nice pillow to sleep with between your legs. However, this may get into similar territory as stomach sleeping where it may not be worth it to buy the pillow and have to remove a decent chunk of its fill.

One important note: the Nest Easy Breather Natural pillow is available in a standard size, queen size, king size, and a side sleeper shape. This review primarily addresses the first three sizes — I tested the standard size pillow for this review. The side sleeper pillow has a u-shape that is meant to be more ergonomic for lying on your side, so it has some significant differences. Cover: The cover of the Easy Breather Natural pillow is made of a blend of 32 percent organic cotton, 67 percent polyester, and one percent spandex.
Inner Lining: The inner lining of the Easy Breather Natural is what contains the fill. This inner lining is made from 100 percent high-quality, breathable knit cotton.
Fill: The fill of the Easy Breather Natural pillow is 75 percent shredded latex and 25 percent polyester. It’s also OEKO-Tex certified, so it’s non-toxic and free from harmful chemicals and pollutants.
The cover of the pillow is machine washable.
Is the Nest Easy Breather Natural Pillow Good for Hot Sleepers?
Anyone who tends to sleep hot knows how important it can be to find the right cooling products. Fortunately for them, the Easy Breather Natural pillow is a great cooling pillow and helps prevent heat from trapping. The cover feels cool to the touch, the natural latex is naturally cooling, and the shredded foam fill allows for air circulation within the pillow.

Read Full ReviewMy Final Thoughts About the Nest Easy Breather Natural Pillow
I think the Easy Breather Natural pillow is a homerun for back sleepers, side sleepers, combination sleepers, and hot sleepers. It’s customizable thanks to its removable fill, so it could really work for any sleeping position. I found the pillow to be super cozy, contouring, and supportive. I sank into it the right amount and felt it kept its shape nicely. I also think it’s quite cooling and allows for airflow.
Another great perk is how eco-friendly this pillow is. It’s high-quality and a great match for anyone looking for organic materials. And the outer cover is machine washable, which is good news for anyone with cleanliness on their mind.
The type of sleeper I wouldn’t immediately suggest the Easy Breather Natural pillow for is stomach sleepers. Although you can adjust the pillow by removing the foam fill to get it to the right loft for this sleeping position, I don’t know if it’s worthwhile to do so — especially since these natural materials tend to be more expensive.
